  1. imo 3 to 6 years is the prime for a lurcher so i dont really see as a coursing dog would be any different.
  2. i know dean mate and his bitch ive been out with them a couple of times. it will be interested what these pups finish off like.
  3. the pup looks strong and well built in the top left pic mate. also looks in good nick aswell.
  4. 100% of the rats tested in bishops castle were imune to all the off the shelf poisons thats why they said they were super rats. the fookers are living off the poison
  5. i was watching a program about super rats a few weeks ago and bishops castle was on there because it has super rats, they are imune to all off the shelf rat poisons. there is only 2 strains of poison that kills them which you need to be licensed to buy. apparently there is only 2 poisons available that can still kill all rats.

  7. . nice simple but enjoyable post as usual iww, i look forward to the next one. your right about there being a touch of autumn in the air the winter feeling is creeping in slowly but surely.
  8. its not unusall for a dog to catch and release its first ever rabbit. the dog has got the idea its just a case of going out and doing it another couple of times then it should fall into place that he dont need to let them go. nowt to worry about
  9. 24% protein seems high to me. thats what i feed my running dog along with raw mince chicken and table scraps. i would go into a few different local pet stores and have a chat to them and make me own mind up on what to feed based upon the advice given.

  12. to be honest i didnt think any of those dog wardens were all that good at handling the dogs shown.
  13. ive have a pair of meindle boots going into there third season this winter. i wear them beating, ferreting and on occasions lamping served me very well. ive never sat and cleaned them since i brought em. i occasionaly spray some wd40 over them every now and again they dont leak and never have.
  14. how come you getting rid of the boots ray? i bet ive only seen you wearing them a couple of times since you brought them.
  15. mark the piss head with a litter of 8 or 10 pups hasnt got a fecking clue how old the pups are how many hes got lol. going to sell them for £60 a pup he reckons. my guess is they are only for a bit of beer money, shame really.
  16. its on now anybody watching it? what do you think about it?
  17. hes going to be a fair lump of a dog going by them weights and mesurements dave. looks like hes enjoying his self there.
  18. i found my old dog struggled when i put a filter on. he deffinatly didnt spot the rabbits as well so i chucked it in the hedge before he had chance to get use to it. ive never bothered with one since.
  19. i think the pups tend to follow the damn and she is the more important out of the 2 in a mating. look at mules and hinnies for instance. a mule is a donkey over a horse and a hinny is a horse over a donkey. there tends to be a difference in size and looks between the 2 and i believe it has been proven that the genetic inheritance of the hinny is exactly the same as the mule.
  20. most nights the week. he has more nights out than in.
  21. i use the one dog. depending on how hard a shift hes put in the night before dictates how many nights the week i use him.
  22. it is good gear. ive got a collar and lead that i put on my dog when i go to the occasional show. i also had 2 leads made to length to fit over my shoulder that i use to carry rabbits and they have stood the test of time, been out in all weathers and still has good as the day i brought them.
