    hi lads just a queary on a rifle for a lad i know -hatsan 44/10 cammo dipped £400 in .22 calibre are they up to the job ie vermin control reliability etc value for the money -thanks for any quick replies -billy

    totally agree with philluk on every aspect it boils my pxss on beating day to see people booting dogs twisting ears etc -if they had taken the time to train their dogs properly only a raised tone of voice should be sufficient

    nice job you done there mate ive just done my rapid 7 using an old pair of realtree trousers! its not perfect but it gets used alot so im sure it will fray here &there but that will add to its character

    biggest one my dog caught was way back in the 90,s weighed in at 24lb and was . in tip top condition which raised a question with me as it was a fairly easy course on land that normally with the flick of a lamp sent foxes scarpering! i brought the fox home for a lad who did a bit of taxidermy and a week or so later phoned me up to say that the fox had a metal plate in its jaw! so it had obviously been released and thatswhy it was in good nick and easy for dog -billy

    i currently run a 2.7 terrano and think there a good work horse mate bit thirsty tho -billy ps mine hates1st gear!

    ive been very lucky in that both spaniels i have owned actually started on woodies and never had the problems most lads seem to encounter but i can see where there comming from as woodies do throw a lot of feathers ,so once you got your pup retrieving dummies /ball /socks /gloves etc and you move on to cold game just use a pheasant wing or even 2 tied around a pair of old socks -good luck mate -billy
