what ive done with both my spaniels is fire a pcp air rifle and have a dummy or better still a freshly shot bird handy and throw it both my dogs took to it like ducks to water and associated the gun with "fun" then i went out with a mate on woodies and stood a good distance away while he dropped a few woodies /ferals and i just walked about letting dogs find of their own accord and before you know it bobs ya uncle mate -billy

havent been out much lately lads so went for a scout about the other night with the trusty rapid and bagged a couple of rats not much but better than nowt and the biggish one was acracking head shot from 30 yds standing

hi lads /lasses just a quick update on koda,s progress ,he,s coming up to his 1st year now and i couldnt ask more of him took him on his 1st beat on grouse moor last week and he was as steady as owt he retrieved 8 shot birds from around the butts and i think he enjoyed it more than me! heknows agun shot might mean a retrieve and watches with a keen eye for anything dropping from the sky had him out picking woodies up on saturday and his attention to my commands is just getting better each time heis a great pet and loves to go for a stroll with wife and daughter but when with me he r

you seem like a very sensible caring man and for what ive just read you will end up with a good little dog just keep up the work your doing and keep asking for peoples help as most real dog lads are only to happy to help another i really hope you stick it out tho as the pup didnt have the greatest of starts to life atb billy

had fairly good success years ago by rubbing a piece of polystyrene on windscreen of landy pre ban days with lurchers

dont rule out a rat as there so under estimated as hunters ,we all see them as dirty scavenging critters but ive seen them 1st hand up trees robbing nests with chicks in and ive lost full grow hens down the alotment to them this b*****d i shot a while back was killing released poults and dragging them down rabbit holes!-billy
