  1. In the 70/80s there was quite a few fellas in their 40s/50s/60s working lurchers and a few young lads. i moved away came back to the same area after 26 years all i see these days are the odd ones being walked by lady owners just pets mainly beddy/whippets.

  3. Cant use a lurcher on my permissions. For the past 10 years used a bedlington great marker find a needle in a haystack type. All in woodland /scrubland crappy land really. Give me no real problems training wise great temperament also. Not a dog for bolters but works great with the nets a good sensible little dog.

  10. I always wonder how many people had private collections back in the day and what happened to them.. Approx 1971 there was a puma in a pet shop in wigan along with allsorts monkeys etc. i remember going in there with my nan and grandad age 7 looking at it.   19. In total agreement there. Fantastic amateur i thought coming up really one to watch for the future. Put in too soon with a naturally bigger man in jose seys a confidence draining defeat in my opinion. Didnt reach his potential but a talented boxer. RIP.

  21. I dont know about the guarding instinct. Very impressive i dont know about the guarding instinct. Very impressive and powerful dogs to look at. Temperament wise the ones ive seen were spot on. ive worked in a few prisons as a electrician and in a few they have been resident in there as therapy dogs.
