    i,m a bit of a Landy purist and I think, that thing like most modern Landy,s would be left wanting against a proper 101 ,I think the beauty of the original series 1-2-3 and the 101 was the fact they could be repaired at the side of the road if they ever did break down, were as a modern one has to be fixed by a technician with a diagnostics computer and a van full of spare parts, landrover ceased making proper Landy,s after the 200tdi defender, from there on it was all down hill, if you want to go fast get a sports car but if you want to go anywhere get a proper landroverI thought the 300tdi wa

    I use a fabarm Classis. 3" chambers and superior steel shot proof in all chokes, including 3/4 and full. Beware using full choke with steel though as the pattern can blow.

    I've been casting an eye over some of the breedings of coursing dogs from the 80's and 90's. Many seem to have been bred from traditional type lurchers to a saluki x. Then from there bred and inter bred with more saluki x's. I'm a great advocate for using coursing type dogs to add to a line of lurchers, but my question is, are there any dogs that have added recent infusion of traditional lurcher that perform to the standards of the old coursing dogs?

    there is nothing wrong with taking enjoyment from doing a task well. Diggory is a great historian, gunsmith and writer, with a breadth of knowledge of historical firearms and hunting trophy hunting etc, but his temperament, is not what is needed for calm debate and explanation. But Mike Robinson has it down to a tee.

    trying to breed a lurcher without prey drive is like breeding a lab that wont retrieve. Feckin' pointless. Removing the essence of the breed/type has been the downfall of modern dog breeding.
