screws snap a lot quicker than nails. the hardened steel usually used may hold tighter but will fail suddenly under side loads that will bend a nail. Use "coach" bolts with thread on the first 3 inches only. That will allow the boards to swell etc without stressing the bolt, yet being made of mild steel, they will bend, but not fail under side loads. They fly in with a drill/driver.

we change our government too slow these days. Due to apathy after a change, the politics we needed "last time" around are allowed to continue for too long. In the '70's we needed Maggie, but her time was done by the mid '80's. those who tried, and failed to over throw her lost sight of the prize and fell by the wayside. When Blair took over in the late '90's, it was too late for socialism. New labour sold the working man down the swanny. But as an economy we were better off. The country ignored the signs of fake economic management and when we needed the brakes putting on government spending a -
Last nights was good. Chris Harris and the guy who did the RS focus were excellent. Evans interviewing is good and Matt Le Blanc fills the Hammond role well enough. Keep that kind of format and let the show evolve and this time next year we will have forgot about this whoha.

My old collie cross was caught a few times knicking food from other peoples kitchens. never ours though, leave a plate unattended all day and you snap would still be on it when you got back, but if she was out and about she was not adverse to jumping fences and through open doors to get to a pan of bacon on the go. And the old collie bitch I have now has been as much trouble. Disappeared into a new housing estate, came back 5 minutes alter with a slice of warm, freshly buttered toast. Sat and offered it me like a gun dog would a pheasant.

Update On My Minkenry Pointer Lurcher
trenchfoot replied to Minkenry's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I am feeding mostly muskrat, with an occasional meal of beef, and a few junks of chicken fat or skin added every now and then. I feed the whole muskrat, meat, bone, liver, kidneys, etc. minus the pelt, stomach, and intestines. Muskrat meat is a rich red meat that has a good amount of fat, and lots of protein. Muskrats are a clean and mostly vegetarian, much more like a rabbit than an actual rat. I freeze it for over a month to kill of any potential parasites, just to be safe. This is the nutritional content of raw muskrat meat... http://www.nutritionvalue.org/Game_meat,_raw,_muskrat_nutritio -

Update On My Minkenry Pointer Lurcher
trenchfoot replied to Minkenry's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
great write up! and a very interesting breeding. I'm with socks on this one though. A 15 week old pup should have a bit more weight on. That dog will have a large frame to fill and a bit extra body fat would do more good than harm in that instance. Its called puppy fat for a good reason Either way do what you thinks right and enjoy your new hound -

Funny you mention this.......ive always said if I won lots of dosh, serious dosh I'd do the obvious like buy house, cars, holidays, bit of daft fun, sort out friends and family....sort out the Royal Sick Kids hospital up here. But the one thing I'd really like to do is take about 100k and stick it in my pocket. Dress like a tramp and try and hitch a lift. First person to give me a lift takes the money. I bet everyone that reads this picks up the first tramp they see Thats how I ended up married!
