  1. A lot of people are very judgmental these days, just seems to be the way sadly.
  2. It’s colour for me, definitely colour.
  3. I reckon when a bit more experienced she will be spot on.
  4. Definitely time to do mine, some dickhead called him a fecking Labradoodle.
  5. A lot of us aren’t as active as we want to be and life and work gets in the way. But we have to be out and about with the dogs when we can ?
  6. It wasn’t bullshit then , it was in the 80s when I was a lad in a Nottinghamshire town. Dillinger was the dog of the time around then.
  7. Now I’m no bull expert but been around a few lads that had them and Physco lines was a name I seem to remember or was it just bullshit?
  8. If you aim low, you’re never disappointed.
  9. Apparently there’s some crap Bull Lurchers bred nowadays, but what are the ones to look for?Are there names to look out for on the Bull side or greyhound side or is just dogs doing the job?
  10. None, but my standards are really really low. ?
  11. Good luck with the pup looks a cracker, very tidy.
  12. Probably loads, all I am trying to get across is some dogs in my limited experience have not run things 100% for lots of different reasons and I wouldn’t write them off, but lots of people would. In an earlier post I said a young inexperienced dog should have no issue working and giving 100%.When a dog gets past a certain age that has been worked and experienced different things then surely some allowances should be made. The dogs I’ve owned and seen after around 4/5 years old changed there approach to work. A lot of people would move the dog on and start again which is there decision. At the
  13. It’s definitely different dogs suit different people. An intelligent dog for an intelligent man and a stupid dog for well, I think you get my drift. ?
  14. If you hunt twice a week and your dog is young and fit and pulled up then motivation, prey drive could be a issue. If you are out more regular and the dog pulls up then a lot more variables come into play that’s my opinion anyway. I’ve seen dogs not look like they are giving 100% and after a weeks rest they are back to their normal self's. Dogs can get jaded, can suffer from aches and pains and have injuries that stop them performing at there best but not necessarily jacking. Or you can take the approach the dogs shit cull it or pass it on to someone else and move onto another project without
  15. Some convince themselves they are really tough dog men, but really only go out hunting twice a month so of course their dogs chase anything that moves.
  16. Just out of curiosity, these dogs that run everything full on all the time, how many days through the season are people hunting with them and what age are they when they are retired?
  17. If the dog is in it’s prime, not injured and fit then it would be an issue.
  18. Brilliant, don’t stop with the training though thinking it’s a done deal. It can go still go wrong if you don’t keep on top of it. Just speaking from past experiences.
  19. 2 rabbits, that double my usual bag. Great way to spend a morning though my type of hunting.
  20. Looking good, glad it worked out apart from wrecking your house obviously.
  21. I do my dog myself, when his hair is dragging on floor is a good time to think about it. I really should start wearing my glasses when I do it also. It really seems to bother the wife when she first sees him after a clipping, but the dogs not really arsed about it.
