I get out with sniffer boy off here and his 2 beddy whippets. They ain't shy of getting into the cover, and fast enough to on the outside too if something is bolted! Great fun to get out with they are.
-
We love the Croc. Can honestly say that it has brought Blue on no end getting out with her. Never a dull moment when she is around!! She's welcome here any time. Have a few pics here of her. Will text them through as it won't let me up load. Long live the croc!!
-
Ha ideal then. Yep you are in a cracking part of the country up there.
-
Brilliant mate. It's always worth them being in the front on their first drive home IMO. Must be pretty daunting for a pup to be taken from its mum and chucked in the back of a car for the first time. It's only a bit of spew and that's his first trip of many out the way!! Cracking pup and ATB with it.

Cheers. If you are happy then that's all that matters. A guy I know took on a Hancock dog at about 9 months old. He has turned out to be a really good dog.
-
Cracking mate. Keep us updated with this one. A cross I will be looking for in a couple of years. Who was the sire? ATB with him.
-
As soon as I seen that dog I thought it was the spit of yours Kev. Would say the same breeding. Maybe the same litter??
-
She's a nice pup and certainly has the speed. Thought my dog was pretty quick but she left him standing on our last outing! Looking forward to seeing all of haymins litters progress.
-
He's looking good mate. I seen these pups at a week old and have been going out with the dam and two of the litter sisters most weeks. Cracking dogs and always plenty going on when we are out! ATB with him.
-
Having been out with this gang I'm surprised you managed to get any pics! Had a good mooch out with them on Monday. 3 beddy whippets and a couple of bigger lurchers. Great craic.
-
Yep same as mine. He's earned his rest!!
-
Yeah I think I expect too much. Suppose they can't be at their best all the time.
-
Hard to explain. I guess you kind of know that you have a bond. I have always had bitches and I find that I bond better with them. I have a dog now and it's a struggle. Don't know why but it just is. I would put that down to me not him though. He does everything I ask and has had a brilliant first season. By far the most promising dog I have had but I wouldn't say we have bonded. I think it's the sulky saluki in him!! He's growing on me though!!

Another thread ruined!! I am interested in a bushing dog of this make up. Would I pay £300? Yes if it was what I was after. I would be happy to do some extra work to get some cash in if I thought these would do what I wanted. Has anyone who is genuinely interested spoken to this guy? I have and he seemed genuine, offered me to see the dam and sire and show them working. Yes to some people it's a lot of money, including me but, I would be willing to pay it if I could get the extra cash in. I have been looking for a while now and even a cocker X terrier type will cost you a fair bit. Each to the

If he can't justify it then he doesn't have to buy one!! There's pups of similar breeding off non working parents going for a lot more. Yes they aren't a working mans prices but sometimes you have to cover your cost at least. Docking/vet checks don't come cheap. ATB.
-
Good to see you got them out Kev. Your permission and it's not as if there's hardly anything on it!! I thought my dog was their favourite!! I have a ferreting job to do tomorrow. Yes it's a bit later than I would of wanted, but the farmer wants it doing before the sheep are turned out into the field. If I don't do it then I won't get the lamping permission next season.
-
I know the area fairly well mate. If you have no luck drop me a pm. ATB
-
Mate of mine had one and it caught plenty of rabbits. That was up in the Lake District too, so not easy ground either. Some are just better built than others. ATB
-
She has certainly grown and it's been good seeing her run on the last few outings. Good to see the croc was back at it last night. Here's a pic I took when she came ferreting with me the other day....she was on top form!!

Why Is It Labeled Such A Bad Crime ?
white van man replied to Saluki246's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
It's big business. Although as scum as they may be, some of these gangs haven't got the brains to open a gate let alone move on farm machinery. Most equipment is stripped down and sold as parts/spares. Some is shipped all over the world. These guys normally have a snoop about and then go back later on. -

If this was still legal and it was honest guys hunting hares in a fair way with permission then there would be no propaganda/publicity. 9/10 the hares are the least of the farmers worries. It's the problems that come with the majority of scumbags that don't respect anything. There's decent folk out there that lived for coursing and respected everything that went with it, including their quarry. I don't blame any farmer who calls the police as I have seen first hand the damaged caused, not to mention the farm equipment that goes missing. The fact is that these people who trash land, gates, worr -
Thanks for the info

Got ya. Blues dad was a racing grew. The whippet side was out of a dog called big land boy. All these names are normally linked somewhere!! He's fast enough for me but needs to learn to be more of a bush basher!!
