Slow cooker, best way of them all for tough joints of meat, throw in all your ingredients aswell turn on and just leave it for hours, often left it all day, melt in your mouth when ready.

Yeah RH plenty of diging in my area, ive got some very good permission that no one else can hunt so that helps a lot and the earths are almost visible from the farmers house so nobody does them.

Had a day of work due to me so took today and got the terriers out.We had a couple of lads of here up for the day,Blackstuff, and Snizle 06 and my diging mate also took the day of.We started out at 9 after a bit of breakfast and 1st place we tried held so entered a bitch of my own and after a bit of a run about we eventually dug to her,job done, while myself and a mate were at this earth the lads went up the road a small distance to another earth where they dug Snizle's dog.We then met up again and traveled a short distance to another spot where we dug my mates dog and just across the wood we ha

Mary, that is a very strange one IMO.Does his dog have a normal crap the next morning ? I'd have to spend an entire day with a successful greyhound trainer without taking my eye off him for a second if that's the way he said he feeds. There is no way at all that any animal has taken all the goodness out of it's food within a half an hour. Neil I don't know about the rest of the dogs diet, but this is what he did with the boiled chicken the day I was there, I seen it with my own eyes. I would think the same as you, take a long time for food, especially meat to break down and be digested, bu

Did RB breed the bitch Tonic, cant say i ever seen any of that breeding dug but heard good things about them, surely lads from that area[was it tipp] must still have some of the blood about them if its what people say it was.

youre name is mentioned in it fm-or at least i think it it is-are you any relation of the man that wrote "valley of the squinting windows"--i think it its the best irish fictional novel ever written -because every character in it is a lighting bollix. My name not mentioned in it,he asked me to go in it but i said no,as for the valley of the squinting windows, lol i have the book and i have been told that the author would have been a far out relation of mine,we both have the same surname. He actually told the truth about everyone in the book and because of that they turned against him,as the s

It was called working terriers and terrier men of Ireland not a book about show dogs, what did you expect.Terriers are going to get marked up,its all part of the job they do,some more than others, they vary in there work styles, same as a boxer, cage fighter, ive a springer spanial for rough shooting and after a days shooting she looks like shes been to ground on fox all day, hard bitch in cover but all part of her job.
-
Bluck was in it for the money, nothing to do with terriers or the terrier men from Ireland, like every other little venture he started.
-
I would call them working terriers.
-
Why are lads actually talking about the fitness of dogs,at this stage of the season they should be fit as fiddles through work but then again a lot of them the only work they see is walking around a show ring.

Once many years ago had a jill ferret take a bad doing fron a nest of stoats, she was in a warren in a stone wall and had pushed them up into a stop.I cant remember correctly but i think there were 3 in it if memory serves me right,i located her with the box and after removing some stones and clay from the old wall i eventually broke into her and she was sparring with them but was covered in blood.I lifted her out and they were out as quick but in minutes her head was well swollen and she seemed to go into shock.I repped her up in my coat and put her under the blower from the heater in the car

Woodcock Hunting December 2016
fat man replied to ollie391's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting
We had some good mornings ourselves recently with 11,8 and more recently 5 and last saturday 2 with a few missed but we think that the area wqe done had been hit before we actually got there as it is a real hot spot for woodcock. My mate and another young lad were out on sunday again in a different area and flushed 12 birds but no kills, lol but my mate accounted for a real good cock pheasant[wild] which is unusual about us as most pheasants are released birds in the last few years and where the bird was shot feeding would be very scarce as its all bog land. This saturday will probably see the la -
Theres plenty of good yards of working terriers around the country that are not in it for fame or money or an ego, just like to work there dogs in good company and have the crack at the same time.I know lads that have had the best of terriers and breeding only to ruin them by over working them and foolishly breeding them to stuff they know nothing about just because it was bred by some big name,we have all done it if were honest at some stage.

Did the dog take any grief on the 1st dig before you tried him again,if not and he came away 2nd time then imo he really does not want it,its your dog and you that has to feed and clean up after him but if it was mine i would pts.
-
BlackBuck, you remind P.S. that one of the first times I met him he had his thumb wrapped in a bandage were a fox had bitten through his thumb nail. So, my advice is, don't take advice of P. when it comes to handling foxes.LOL. Mind you, I can't talk. I've been bitten a few times. PS not the best at handling anything, ask Macky, lol.
-
As Smasher has said, get him out again and find out for sure if it was just a 1 off or has he had enough,c**t to keep him all through the summer for him to do the same next season, anyway good luck with him.

For what science, lol

Seen and had some very good white bodied terriers, wont call them JR as they were a mix but still they done the job,Neil actually seen a dug over 1 of them a scruffy little blacknwhite dog called Butch, ugly as f**k but a good dog to dig with, sadly killed by 2 black terriers that turned out to be shite work wise.I dont actually know of any white terriers around my neck of the woods now but i reckon there is still some good kennells of them about the country.
