Did you get any more terriers or are you still diging the George dog,he was always fond of the foxs.We had a couple of digs ourselves Sunday,1 to the young bitch [bESS] and another to Fizz back home for early as it still very warm.

If you crossed ur ginger terrier with a ac terrier you'd get ac/dc back in black If the ginger terrier was a bitch and her name was Rosie you could have a whole lot of Rosies, lol.

Haha it would take some bush to hide you.

Well finished work at 1am and home for 1.30 and a couple of hours kip then up again at 4.30,quick cuppa and slice of toast and my 2 shooting mates arrived in my yard.We loaded up the lab and the gun and headed to our destination which is a fairly big lake about 12-14 mile from us.We arrived there about 5.30 and made our way to where we were hoping to get some shooting. We were only there about 10min when a boat came up the lake and decided to park up right out in front of us at the back of the rushes so nothing we could do but hope some ducks would come our way.We had not to wait long before th

Went to a meet of local hounds a few year back along with a mate of mine. The pack in question are not a bad pack and the huntsman is a gentleman. They used to have a young lad doing the terrier work for them but then they hired a full time terrier man from the UK.The day started well with hounds finding almost straight away and when 1 was ran to ground my mate and i made our way to the mark as quick as we could. We knew the earth and its a fairly easy place and when we got there the terrier man had a dog in already. We waited for about 20 min then he told another young lad to go fetch another ter

DC,i was in a different situation,i had access to dogs related to my bitch and had a choice of stud for her.The man that bred her and owned the dogs in question actually advised me to use a certain dog on her and he was right on cue,we even done a repeat mating a couple of year later but unfortunatly out of a litter of 6 only 1 bitch survived, they got that puppy syndrome disease, the bitch that lived is just gone 2 year old and has been dug to a good bit so far so looks like the repeat mating worked again.

What if said dog is everything that you want in a dog but dies in the line of duty before you have chance to breed off it We all know dogs who this has happened to, and we all know good dog men that have bred them a lot earlier than that if you worry about losing a dog everytime you put it to ground then you should be in a different game imo, that's no excuse for breeding from pups-that's their choice... I tried it myself once when I was stuck, to proud or stubborn to ask for a lining... Wouldn't do it again in a hurry...set me back if I'm honest - Nothings garenteed even when lining a pair

I used to park my van in a little village where i got picked up to go further on to work.In this village lived a chap i had worked with for a couple of years previous. One evening i arrived back from my work place to find my van covered in all sorts of graffiti done using shaving foam.I knew right well it was him that did it so it was pay back time.He owned at the time a nissan sunny which he thought the world off so i advertised it in the buy and sell free to take away with tax and nct left on it,reason being owner emagrating, gave his number and said nothing to no one.His other brother worked

How is the George dog going for you.

your right u read some shite on here saying Facebook and other groups be the ruining of terrier work f***ing edjit's talking about preban and then others talking about bulldogs fighting Not 1 thing wrong with mentioning preban on a thread,a lot of lads have dug preban when it was legal to do so,fighting dogs should be talked-wrote about on a different site,im sure there is Pitbull sites on the www.This thing of puting up pics of broke up terriers well thats up to the individual that does so but it proves nothing about a dog,i have seen first hand dogs smashed up badly but it was more from

-
Well done Pabs, nice to get a good result, weather seems to be geting a little cooler now thank god.Once we start we keep going regardless of the weather but its not nice diging in the heat, roll on the nice frosty mornings.

I reckon you should give up the hunting SS as theres a poet lost within you somewhere, lol.

We actually meant to finish earlier but as it turned out it was one of them digs that you think will be a quick affair only to turn into a drawn out thing, game did not want to be dug and only a couple of stops in this earth even though its a big enough place so a lot of running about before the little bitch finially drove it to a stop and then the diging was torture, under a hedge at 1.7 and rock hard but in fairness she done well, she just gone 2 year old and 14 digs to her credit now so happy enough with her and she not very big but still wont give any ground when up tight to her game.
-
Very yesterday,we were not so lucky and it was heading for 3pm when we got back, couple of digs we had were hard going but worth it in the end as dogs done well.We seem to have plenty about us,we well up into double figures already so season looks promising, happy hunting to all.
-
Well we are well and truly back at it again, today was our 4th trip out and geting good results each time with plenty of diging, bit on the warm side today but still managed 2 digs. The young bitch i started last season has been dug to twice so far this time around and has picked up where she left off last season doing well.A new member to our gang Paddy had a nice dig to a dog that was gifted to him a few weeks back and he looks very promising so all in all should be a good season with some new permission got aswell so things look good, has many more lads started.

Some clowns feel they just have to show what there mutts are capable of doing and 90% of the same lads dont last a season at the game.I have been told of some of the stuff that is put up on FB and its a f***ing disgrace, serve the c**ts right if they got a knock on the door and a damn good fine, might teach them a lesson, its the likes of these c**ts that will get good lads in trouble.

As i told you in a different thread,Dont forget the ear-plugs,lol. -
Back to the thread i was over with lads in UK in the mid 90s far as i can remember and we were doing some earths in the staffordshire area.We had a couple of good digs and then went on to another farm where there was a stack of round bales the likes i had never seen before on any farm in Ireland. They were at least 150 yds in lenght and about 60ft in width. The lad that took us there Nick had with him a russell bitch which i had seen dug to over with myself a few times so knew she could do the buisness. We also had a couple of lurchers with us and the farmer and his son also there with shotguns.T

Cheers, he's all go. Will take very little to bring him on more effort holding him back. I'm sure your mate will have something to say in response to that haha. Atb. Had a good dig to his mother yesterday morn, xmas should see how your pup will turn out hopefully he will do the buisness for you, dont forget to bring the ear plugs with you when you head to that dog show next wknd as you will need them when Neil gets a few pints into him, lol.
-
I dont keep hounds anymore but when i did keep a few we also called them beagles but they were not the little foot beagle you see hunting hare with the registered packs. These were as big as harriers and well capable of running a fox to ground.
-
jees , the foxes have it made in your part of the world. Clever ole divils We save that place for a rainy day, lol.
