  1. I have 2 dog pups for sale. 7 weeks old, kept 1 myself. Litter of 9 only 2 to sell. The exact breeding is 11/16 whip 1/16 grey 1/4 beddy, dam is granitor beddy x 3/4 whip 1/4 grey. Good ferreting bitch 18 1/12". Sire is a mike brown bred kc whippet 23" 100% worker. I am trying to place these 2 dog pups in good working home mainly ferreting. Wont sell unless they are going to the right type of home. Not stupid money, good home matters most to me. any interest pm me please.
  2. I think a mepp is a great bait, fished upstream, personaly i would rather use a gold then copper then silver. Other people will only use silver, they all catch but i think you fish with more belief with your favorite colour on.
  3. I am gutted for you Sam. It is a awefull thing to have to do but you did the right thing mate. Also to CJ, saw pip working and he was well on the way to making a very good ferreting dog, gutted for you also mate. Just goes to show how easy they can be take away, be it health or work. So sad for your losses lads.
  4. Fantastic pic mate, pike like pike alright. I made a hardwood jerkbait years ago like a 6" jack pike, i have had a lot of pike on it.
  5. I have a great little camcorder, i bought it years ago and it was expensive. They make little money on ebay now, good camera on it, great quality vid, great zoom and small and light. It is a jvc GZ-MC500 not hd but great pic, tried a jvc hd camcorder, pic was no better than my old one and much bigger and more complicated, sold it on and am happy with the MC500.Seen them go for about £ a steal at that, they were about £900 years ago, i paid £300 for mine.
  6. Join the workingwhippetforum mate, plenty of info on there.
  7. Whiplash crystal in the light stuff, cortland masterbraid for salmon. Tried power pro and did not like it. Has been said, ebay is best for price.
  8. Aye your right mate, them iPhones do your head in. Far to compicated this old hill billy.
  9. Very nice, good luck getting good homes mate. Should be ideal lamp/ferreting dogs.
  10. Not trying to confuse you but say you bought a #6 weight rod, #6 line is correct but when you are just starting out or are fishing small rivers where you would have difficulty getting a full line out you might be better with the #7 line on the #6 rod. You will load the rod easier with shorter line out that you would be able to put out as a novice and a line only one size up will not damage the rod even with the full line out. Just my personal opinion mate. I think a good rod for the river would be a 9' #6, that is what i use most for river trout.
  11. Nelson should have them available soon mate, he was telling me the other day. He is also doing the other 2 types aswell.
  12. Excellent advice, we use corn flour also up our way for the brandlings, just sprinkle it on top of the compost. They do well on it.
  13. Daiwa whisker 8ft, try and pick the older model up from ebay, better than new model.
