  1. Got it from St Helens, i think there were 3 bitches and 4 dogs. The dam was a nice bitch about 23", beddy dog was 17.5"
  2. finally got myself a pup, 1/2 bedlington, 3/8 whippet, 1/8 Greyhound. 7 weeks old bitch.
  3. Just take the pup among the sheep as normal, put a long piece of baller twine on her just so you can check her easy. My collie neverhad any interest in sheep what so ever and she was bought off a sheperd at 6 weeks old. My old bitch was broken to sheep and ferrets in no time and was marking holes at just over 4 months. One thing i did notice with my collie was she seemed to treat rabbiting as more of game unlike a lurcher or sight hound. She seemed to have no blood lust as such but she would work all day with great enthusiam. She was just very reliable, you could call her off a rabbit she was
  4. My collie bitch died aged 15 about 3 months ago. She was great with the ferrets, good marker and very steady. Nothing wrong with them if you just want a marking dog.
  5. Been looking on the internet recently (4 mths)for greyhound x bedlington pups. I have only seen 1 litter of first cross greyhound/bedlington and they were £350 each. Seems to me that there is not many of these bred or possibly they are spoken for so not advertised. There is loads of bedlington/whippets. I would like a blue rougth haired bitch pup so i will keep looking. I want a bitch that will end up around the 22" sort of size so it will have to be a greyhound or greyhound/whippet cross to achive that i think. My sister has a 3/4 whippet/bedlington that is just over 21" but that is a dog.
  6. I am interseted in a bedlington lurcher pup. I am in the process of deciding what cross to go for. It will be used for ferreting and lamping also for a daytime rabbit dog. I had a 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington about 20 yrs ago and although it was a game little dog it was a little on the small side, it was 18.5" probably small for a male. I would like a bitch pup and was hoping for it to make about 22", i am therefore thinking on the lines of a bedlington X whippet/greyhound. I would like the pup to be half bedlington (sire), i would also consider a bedlington/greyhound.I dont need a world beater
  7. Hi, just joined the forum. I have been around the hunting, countryside scene since childhood. I am active in game fishing mainly on the fly, lurchers, ferrets, terriers, i also followed the main fell packs for many years. Just a country person really. Hope to learn a few things on here and thanks again for having me.
