  2. THE FILTERS ARE FCUKIN JOKE MATE... I cut the clips off my filter, chamfered the outside lip of the lamp and the inside of the filter. It easily slips on and off now, I also put a soft rubber flex on as that coil cable is crap. Done away with the cigar connector which kept going slack. The connector into the battery is crap also, kept coming out when getting over dykes. I leave the connector in all the time, taped to the battery, never get no trouble with it now.
  3. excellent price that mate.
  4. I think those are the ones he is selling first.

  7. BB if the kits are being fed crap IMHO the parents are also going to be fed this same crap Why? If the parents are working (as claimed) flesh should nt be a problem to get hold of all year round Y.I.S Leeview Hunting is instinctive behaviour, not innate behaviour. Ergo, if you are picking up kits, diet should not affect your hunting with them in theory. I understand there are other elements to it, but I would also like to point out that my ferrets are from a hunting background, and are effective and brilliant workers, but because I don't shoot or lamp as much as I would like, they someti
  8. I feed raw rabbit 6 days a week and chudleys 1 day for a change. Don't like the idea of cat food, I cant see a problem feeding dry if you cannot get raw but it would be a last resort for me.

  13. How many times have you had it out. 12 months is very young to be slating a young dog, as said I would take it out ferreting let it learn and give it time.
  14. Good deal I would say, if they are good workers. You can buy kits for what ever price keep them for 12/24 months then find out they are useless. You also cant expect to much from young ferrets, it takes a lot of work in most cases to get them working correctly getting down deep etc. I would think it takes at least 2 or 3 hard seasons to make a decent ferret so how can it no be worth a decent price. You can have brilliant ferreting dogs but if your ferrets are useless you are going to have some frustrating days out. Also just over 2 years ago I kept a young hob from good parents, the first sea
  15. I started it on a ring, which I cut off when I was finished, I thought it would keep it tidy. I had some brown and green twine so I did 24 rows of each colour, I would do a colour each night, it also made you think you were getting somewhere. I used a 2 1/4" mesh board and knit 24yds, I made it 17 meshes wide 18 with the selvedge. Going to have a go at a 50yd net (100yds) now.
  16. If you are fishing inshore, the Pollack fishing is great around Port Logan. I would think, Pollack, mackerel and the odd cod would be the main thing,
  17. I think £10 for a good working jill is for nothing, a real good one is hard to come buy.
  18. Good buy for someone, excellent rod them will compete with much more expensive rods.
  19. You could have a section for ferreting dogs maybe.
  20. I have given up with sheet netting after getting nothing but sub standard stuff and i wont be buying any more. As I have been making my own purse nets for 39yrs I thought I would try to make my own long nets. I thought I would have a go at a 12yd net first to see if I encountered any problems as I have not done a long net before. It seemed to go well, the only thing i probably done wrong was use to double strand the selvedge as the twine was already thick enough. I had ran out of the twine i used for the net or i would have doubled that up. Overall i was happy with it so i have bought some twi
  21. I used 30mm sheets of polystyrene cut to fit in between shed framework then boarded with 10mm ply. The insulation keeps the shed cool in summer as well as warm in winter.
  22. When I find a bit of plastic sheet I am going to make some washers to bolt onto the inside.
  23. Went to visit Netrigger last Sunday. He is a great fella and knows the net job inside out. I learned a few things for sure. Netrigger gifted me one of the trammel stop nets that he makes. I poled it up today. Thank you Bill for the net and I enjoyed my visit.
