    This is something I am interested in,I am about to loose my shorthaired pointer to age, If I am honest I am fighting the decision as I am attached to him.I have heard along time ago, of people useing pointer and crossing it to lab and collie,I have allso heard of them crossed with greyhound, I myself have never seen one in the feild,but people who I held in high regard raved about them,I love the pointer breed, and I know that I will buy another,and after buying pedigrees for years,then getting my little wippet cross, I think that I shall venture down the lines of pointer cross,should I find o

    Do you think so,I bought there normal tunnet traps, and some stainless ones the stainless were expensive but worth it, the ordinary tunnel was very reasonable i never looked at buying the claw/talpex type trap,but after the good comments on here about them I will try them,at some point,I have a small amount now that I bought from a local,farm supplies,but he couldnt match flatpack for the tunnel trap prices the other place to try would be bethel rhodes in mirfield they make a good trap apparently,although I have never bought off them,

    Look at the flat pack company,they sell good talpex style traps and their tunnel trap they are very good reliable traps,and not too steeply priced

    Simple, in deer stalking you might only get one shot then not go out for another few weeks, so its important you clean your gun before leaving it in cabinet so it makes sense to zero you guns with a clean cold barrel however,should you need to use say a few shots it still dont make a noticable difference,so you can clean once back at the bothy, as unless zeroing, you wouldnt carry cleaning kit while out stalking,
