  7. Acceptable by who, people who take no time to understand what they see, and pass judgement on other peoples methods,I have used most methods and all have there place in the hunting scene, controlling foxes isn't for the amusement of a few with rifles, its a serious business when you lost lambs at a potential of £70 a throw, and the farmers waiting for the gob shite rifle man to turn up, who promised to be there when ever he called, and cant make it for another week, and even then he cant stay all night,I will tell you this, you watch the farmer welcome the terrier man with open arms then, controlli

  10. Will do, the mtc scopes have been tested using a .338 lapua so our .223s and 243s will be nothing against it. roy lupton has one one one of his rifles on fieldsport channel youtube so don't let the price put you off it they were 1000 quid people would have more respect for them. You're right! Roy lupton used one for a long time. And shot everything with it. If you don't want to spent to much money at a scope i would go with mtc. i would go with the viper or the 2.5-10x50 mamba i own. gr Jacco I am looking at the taipan for my 223, but it will sit on my 6.5x55 for a
  11. Give them nothing, they take too many liberties,I know I might not do myself any good, but to me its the principle of it,I too have nothing to hide, but wont give idiots /chocolate bobbies the time of day, happy to assist a officer of the law conduct his duties, where need's be,but that's it,
  12. Will the mtc stand a centre fire rifle, does anyone use one on one, if so what calibre??
  13. Hi DarrenGoogle "Action Optics" or "Paul Burke scope repairs" one of them should be able to sort you out mate Geordie Top man, thanks will do it tomorrow
  14. I thought I would ask as I have somehow, buggered my old scope its only a lisenfeld 3/12/50 but it has been a good reliable workhorse for the last ten odd yrs, I am going to order a zeiss scope as a replacement, but would still like to get this repaired, that's if it is financially viable, and wondered if any body knew anywhere that would repair my scope,I could try,,The scope itself is not holding zero and works perfectly fine in every other way,
  15. Mine has a slow twist rate as well,1/12 I am using the 52 gr h/point with 23 grn of Reloader 7 I would like to go heavier, but it seem's lighter would be a better option for my rifles twist rate, but that is a good group mate, would be interested to see what you get at a longer distance,
  16. I spent a fourtnignt there one day,and I am convinced I didn't see a virgin,they must be very special snare's after that treatment,
  17. As Far as I am concerned that's the voice of authority,
  18. Long tail, if you don't want to wait for the frost, pick them then freeze them for a couple of day's,before using,
  19. Well you have your way I have mine, I see no problem with hanging them outside for a couple of day's , and taking sensible precautions in regards to scent, it's the way I was taught and it does no harm at all,
  20. You say the rabbit was smelling the wire,it could have just seen the snare, and was smelling it as confirmation,I think you will find, if you weather them a couple of day,s and don't do anything stupid as in handle anything strong smelling,or wear a thin pair of clean gloves you will be fine,
  21. I love the 22, however I use a 17hmr a fair bit on long range stuff, but the 22 for me for lamping they never hear anything, its so quiet, and you don't make too much of a mess of them, plus the ammo is good value for money,
