    Take your time mate there's plenty about,some good second hand stuff like barreta's old aya's,find something thats as close to what you want as regards fitting,then get it tweaked,buy from a decent shop or good friend,so if theres any problems with it you can take it back to the shop,and a good friend would be straight enough,and just wouldnt sell you crap,maybe go to the local clay pidgeon club and ask the lads if they would let you try a couple of different guns,and give you a bit of instruction on them,make an informed decision,and you are likely to still have the gun twenty year's on,and

    I am not entirely sure I went to buy a whippet x,couldnt find one at the time,as I was thinking convensional x's like beddy and greyhound,I had just lost a good lab and didnt want to go down that road,as I had six gundogs and what I needed was a rabbit dog,I hadnt had a lurcher since the early 80's and wasnt sure of what developments had happened with the breeding side,anyway he was advertised as a whippet bred lurcher,I spoke to the owners wife, and down the phone you could hear the dispair in her voice,he was kept in the house and clearly too much for her,she said his mother was a lurcher br
