  1. Great looking lab, how old is it?
  2. Never been good at politics : )
  3. Thatcher died, those two women were murdered. Judge probably jailed him for his own safety, and with you coming from the Manchester area I am apprised you haven't picked up on the public outrage at what happened, whether you agree with the judge or not. The stupid t*at got 4 months for breaching a previous order.
  4. One less f*ckwit off the street:)
  5. Cracking introduction pal, just how they should be, welcome to the forum
  6. Great night and good right up snapshot
  7. These were a couple of my ferrets in 1978, and that basket is exactly what I used to use when ferreting, and can be seen in the picture.
  8. I totally agree Duncan, a new member should at least be introducing themselves with what fieldsports, vermin control, dogs etc they participate in, or have an interest in. Many that join must be experienced in the field, and only new to the forum, others may be complete novices or even antis. It should not count for peoples first post to be "I need somewhere to hunt" or just "hello" As for the same old people welcoming new comers, then that is their choice, in my opinion, because without them some wouldn't get a welcome. .........but maybe that is because they don't tell us an
  9. It's not to hard to learn, provided you you have the patience to pick up the skills. Look at "agouti nets" website for videos and all the kit you require. I would advice buying one of his starter kits to begin with and then if you enjoy it you can buy a better needle. You won't make a living from making nets but it is great catching bunnies in a home made net.

  11. Through the meat to the dogs, and make a soup out of the feathers Seriously now, I eat mine either curried or cut up into chunks and put in the slow cooker with veg and herbs to make a nice stew. The latter is my favorite, although give me duck or pigeon anyday.
  12. i believe the geneva convention disalows partition bulletts for military use hey dead is dead if you hear the bullet its missed you ...and if you see the flash you only have a few thousandths of a second to live
  13. Added to that, I seem to remember that the Hague convention only applies to soldiers in time of war, so lets say SF were employed by the government for a domestic seige, then it wouldnt apply, and in theory they could use what they so wish. I stand to be corrected on that though.
  14. They have to be fmj for military, not because they are less lethal, but because expanding is prohibited because of the horrific injuries that can occur, that then are more difficult to repair. That is my understanding anyway. I think it all stemmed from the prohibition of Dum Dum bullets. As a result of that though, more people probably survive, as a result of being shot with fmj than they would with expanding. I am quite sure a hole host of ammo gets used overseas at this minute in time
  15. Looks strong enough, and if its made by the japs it should be good quality.
  16. welcome, and looks a good bit of kit pal. I take it that footprint will fit in the back of Toyota Hilux?
  17. I've often quoted that line from "Sing a song of Sixpence" Branchers are known as Squabs and there are many recipies out there for Squab Pie, stew etc... Is that the one out of the airgun mag a month or so back? I've got other ones in an archive file somewhere, along with Dog, Cat, Rat, Snake etc. etc.... Tony Squabs were always pigeons still on the nest to me, I have not heard of young rooks as squabs before, it must be local variation.
  18. Welcome to the forum pal, you will get some good advice when you need it.
  19. Tegater i'm ashamed of you pulling the topstones off the walls!, next thing you'll be telling me you pull stones out of walls to get at the rabbits! Matty 77, a lot of folk use the line that folks are too eager use the locater, if you know your animals well, you know sometimes its pointless sitting around waiting to leave corpses below the sod whilst the ferret moves on to the next victim. You could wait, and eventually the animal will come back on top when all is dead, and the worker is knackered, or face facts, and get on with it. (i do understand in some regions you may have to dig a bit
