    Even thermal stuff is relativley cheap these days if a few people club together!

    A nice side by side can be picked up cheapish. I use an AYA no4 if I am using a 12 bore, but most of the time I use either a 28 or 20 bore for almost everything.

    If they have no film evidence you are in the clear pal, if they have film evidence it only has to be in your hand. It doesnt matter whether you were on the phone or not. This happened to a buddy of mine and all he was doing was putting it into the phone cradle while he was driving.

    This was a reply back from a second e mail I sent, as I wasnt happy with the pro forma reply from the first one! I apologise if you feel that our initial reply did not sufficiently address all of your previous concerns. I would like to assure you that WHSmith respects the views expressed by all customers. We are therefore now in the process of assimilating all of this further feedback, to assist us in looking into this

    I am amazed that they have pursued it, when you must have told them you dont have a phone on you. The first thing I would want to know is where is the phone. As said before though, they will check your records, and they will be able to pinpoint where your phone was, at that particular time, even if you were not using it.

    I received the same reply from some PA or robot called Joanne Tyler, as shown earlier in the thread. I have now written another reply, which I won't bore you with now, but I will not give up until a real person gives me a reply, that is rational, and of some substance. This may not seem a big issue to some, but this is the start of a big campaign!

    Used to have the same gun in .177 as a kid, and had so much fun with it. It used to have a 4x20 scope on it, and it accounted for no end of starlings, sparrows and the occasional pigeon around the farm.

I am writing to you, to let you know my absolute fury, that WH Smiths have decided to ban under 14's from buying magazines such as the shooting times, as reported in the Telegraph yesterday. I have two boys both under the age of 14, (8 and 11), and they both shoot with me, every weekend and at any other opportunity.     I agree with Lanesra, this poll means nothing, it is just a reader poll. Our only hope is that the senior management of WH Smith actually look at it. The way forward for me is to do what the anti's have done. Write to the CEO and put your pont of view forward, lobby BASC and the other fieldsports associations, and get them earning a crust! I for one am going to do the above. I am also going to go into WHSmith with my 11 year old, and going to fill up my basket/trolley with as many goods as possible from the biggest selection of goods, and get my lad to try and purchase Shooting times

    so no coincedence on it being show at this time and its getting longer than anthing else oh here we go right on cue we dont know what the future will hold the bbc at its anti best That one sentence she said, was the killer for me. Up until then it was just a wildlife and photography programme which I have nothing against. I don't even blame her, I blame the biased script writers. Maybe though that is because I have always had a hotspot for her!
