We're away for a week from Tuesday, so have to decorate the cottages before we go, got 2 Christmas trees yesterday off a friend who is doing them for the first time this year... do one cottage today and the other when the guests leave tomorrow... Will do our house when we get back, always do it on the 8th as my wife was pregnant for our youngest girl 16 years ago, me and the kids decorated the tree and when she saw it she went into labour, so ever since we do it on the 8th... Got a freelander here, wife's car, had it fron new on a 10 plate, not missed a beat, been really reliable, we're out in the sticks a bit and been great in ice, snow etc, towed boats, trailers etc with it and been a very decent car tbh.. just gond through its mot no faults, she's gutted was hoping it failed so she could have a new car, told her she's got amoyther year of motoring in it now! Lol

I feel a bit embarrassed chucking the odd food pic up, taking a pic and posting a few notes to pay a curry bill must be an all time low!! Smashed it this week, will do 2000m2 in 3 days on roof, loads of steel work in it making good, new rails etc, stripping asbestos... boys have grafted like f**k to be fair max 15min break a day when the cranes on site... I'm f****d!! Lol

To be honest I didn't watch the Malta game and only 2nd half of Moldova, they were no more than friendlies really mate...but get your point, and it can be infuriating watching Premier league stars struggling against bin men! Lol

I think you don't even need to look that far back to see how much the game has changed and lots of absolutely quality players wouldn't stand a chance with the pace of the game now, Merson, Le Tissier, waddle, Anderson, even players like Sheringham (one of my favourite) would struggle with the style and lace in my opinion, players from early eras wouldn't stand a chance imo... although not as old as you I'm nostalgic for sure, and like many think "it was better in my day", but truth is even "average" players today are far fitter, quicker and drilled/trained better than those of yester year....

Exactly that, he is very tactically astute imo.. he always qualifies easily (remember our struggles in the past, last gasp free kick from Becks against Greece, no qualifying for USA etc). And he sets his sides up to progress in tournaments, the Germans have done it for years, hardly swashbuckling football but they are historically brilliant in tournaments. Funny, I've had this chat a few times mate, Southgate sets up quote offensive when you look at it.. he uses 2 deep midfielders so his full backs can bomb on..usually making at leat 5 in attack... he plays 3 up front, but both fullbacks go up together.. it needs fairly rigid midfielders to do this, Rice is brilliant at it and Phillips ain't bad either... when you've got Kane, Bellingham, Forden, Walker, Trippier/Shaw, Rashford/Grealish and Saka making a front 5 it works... problem with games like tonight is Moldova don't commit at all to attack, so there is no room to work in, it's stifled, a 1

Great chance of winning the Euros imo...and I'm never one to give if big licks about England... this is the most talented squad in Europe imo... I read nothing into tonight's or last weeks games, qualified ages ago, top of all the qualifiers and with the current European champions in our group... It'll come down to a bit of luck as always, but with the 2 best players currently in European football in our squad I'd give us a fair chance

Good analogy mate, as I said, it's a small part of a big story, it happens to lots of people, different times, different people... there is zero bitterness, in fact quite the opposite..

Similar mate...never ever been a poor me type, there are loads of people living far worse than me, I saw a few things as a kid that you just shouldn't see.. but it makes you who you are... I hate people using bad past experiences as a reason for their shit behaviour or lack of morals etc...life is too short mate.

Got a good relationship with my dad now mate, I understand that not everything is black and white and as adults we all make wrong decisions that can and do impact our kids... but... I've made a conscious decision to change a few things to make sure my marriage worked and I stayed with my kids, we all f**k up sometimes mate, but I didn't want to tread a similar path... youve got to break the mould eventually... ours is a family full of f**k ups (probably like many others)... me and my brother have done things differently...I'm quite proud of that tbh
