Great stuff with the business and "your a jammy bugger" for the permission!

Never ever give up, get yourself some cards, always have permission forms with you, never wear camouflage/combats when your approaching land owners for the 1st time, they will think your a nut. Be relaxed when speaking to them and try to keep the conversation going, this can be hard with farmers as they tend not to mince or waste their words. Dont let knock backs deter you. atb Mark

Wiltshire Rabbit Control Misleading?
markha replied to inan's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Plagiarism on the web etc is a right royal pain in the ass and very difficult and expensive to get fixed, I know as I to have had it happen, and by the previous company director of al people on a website for his new company!!! Basically you need to contact this person direct, as you have done by email and also phone him up and speak to him, voicing your concerns and ask that he removes any images that he is using without the owner permission or puts a credit to the photo with the owners name etc. If you have no joy with that then you need to send by registered post a 'cease and desist -
I had a sportsmatch dampa on my HW80 and it was a great piece of kit, tbh some of the cheaper mounts are pretty crap though - you pays your money and all that. Glad you sorted it out and your shooting spot on again.

A great read Stealthy, have a SP I have never thought about asking permissions at garden centres so thats a pointer for me to have a ring around. atb Mark

Cheers both, this fluff ball did have very large rear feet and front paws, the rear foot was 13cm long!

Thats a pretty good hide you have there, If you beef the main supports up a bit more it will stand the test of time, then all you have to do is keep putting extra folliage on it throughout the year as the seasons change. It would be great if you could get permission for that field as your hide would be a good place for some static hunting. As for your farm permission, you have permission to shoot so take your guns, simple Just have a slow wander around the areas you are cleared to shoot in and make sure that you know where your pellets may go if you do miss a shot and make a call on whet

I have a 3lt 300bar steel bottle, and get plenty of gun fills from it, also my local dive shop only charges me £2 for a complete fill, so very happy days and a lot less hard work than a pump which will cost you just as much

Work finished so I head over to the farm. It’s not long before the 'young un' (my girls nephew) appears and I know he wants to go for a shoot as much as me. So boot loaded and a drive down to the first fields, but the barley is so high we are never going to see a thing, so while we are there a session of zeroing in takes place on some 2" shoot-n-c targets placed at various ranges on fence posts, all is well so we head off to the next few hundred acres! As I get down the track I spot some of the hard as nails black bunnies, but the evening proved that they weren’t coming out to pla

Just because something is heavier doesnt mean it has less power....think about it..flyweight boxer, moves his arms very fast when punching, the weight of the punch doesnt carry a massive amount of energy even though it travels fast. Heavy weight boxer, the speed of the punch is much slower but boy does the impact carry some weight. Now apply this to the piston weight at the end of a compressed spring. Its a carefully chosen piston weight based on the following: Kinetic energy = 0.5 mass x velocity2 force = mass x aceleration Pressure = force / area

Hi Phantom, I had the hairs right between the eye and lower ear, yes the 1st shot was a thwack, may have been neck, possible deflection, slight burst of breeze, but 2nd shot was also spot on, it realy did bug me. That is the sea in the distance, lovely place to shoot, got around 8 fields on that side all 15-20 acres per field to mooch around. Im glad you all liked the write up and thanks for the S'points - Ill definately remember to take the camera out with me on the next outing looking for ghost bunnies!

Work was finished soa drive over to the families farm. Lots of acres to shoot in, but a couple of fields have some big rabbit problems. The grass has just been mowed and nice crisp clover is now growing back, giving mr and mrs rabbit and extended family lots of juicy food. On the drive over my girlfriends nephew is waxing lyrical about lots of rabbits, hares and some very large black rabbits he'd spotted before. Now these rabbits are very willey chaps n chappesses, even a low flying bird will set them scurrying off never to be seen for hours. So off we head for a slow wander round the

This isnt the gun that was advertised a few weeks ago, going at a cheap price because it was only 9ftlbs? To be honest, if its only denting a coke can at 30 yards its a heck of a lot less than 9ftlbs as even a weak springer with 5ftlbs would go clean through a coke whether its empty or full. If however this isnt the gun advertised cheap because of its low power, I would suggest contacting the person who sold it to you, especially if they were aware its was down on power and failed to tell you. Failing that send it back to Air Arms if its an anti-tamper model, or possibly your local gu

Yes working from home does have its benefits , Is that a big tub of 'boilies' I see in the top left picture? Good luck with self employment, if you get the work, you cant beat being the boss I have a mate who works from Brownhills in the midlands, he did the same thing, worked for a large firm, rope accesses, bird nets/wires and other general pest control, hes been self employed for a few years now and has plenty to keep him in a very good wage. Whilst trawling around for silencer mods and reading threads from all over the place, I came across the patents for what is widely claimed to be the worlds leading company producing the most efficient firearms silencers available. The patent shows the principals and internal construction of the silencers and would be great as 'reference material' in building/modifying your own. silencer pdf Cheers Mark

Zini - couldnt agree more about the missconception of the 30yards range. I think it has always been suggested that this is the range at which you can get accurate shot placement out to 40 yards and down to 10 yards without hold over/under as in the old days most people had standard cross hair scopes, but with the advent of mildots and range finders etc more people are becoming aware that its not so difficult to use hold over/under and windage these days for hunting once you have figured out how much you need on your gun and not how much a ballistics programme tells you that you need ( softwar

I zero for the typical ranges I need to shoot at at different locations, generally set now at 45m. I have not tried the aa field plus, a bit heavy for a 12ftlbs rifle at longer ranges, but I suppose ok for hard hitting at very short range, theres going to be a lot of poi drop on them. If I fill to 170 bar I get chrono,s minimum - 11.25 and maximum 11.49 right down to 130 bar where it starts to drop back down from 11.39 to 11 at 120 bar. By the time IM at 100 bar its down to 10.68ftlbs. So I would say that your rifle, compared to my chrono results, normal. A full 190bar sees the gun at

But he deserved it!! He unfortunately got shot 7 times in the head and once in the shoulder and not for any bombings, He had no bag - fact. He had no bombs strapped to him - fact. He just had the clothes he was wearing - fact. Witnesses who sat opposite him on the train and were splattered in his blood swore on oath that the security service officers who shot him gave no verbal warning - fact. He lived in block of appartments where a number of secret service agents lived and where there were also safe houses - fact. Did he witness something in his block of apartments that may have go -

I think his trip to B&Q was a definite taunt in the early stages of this search, like Matt said, bright orange top etc stands out from the crowd. He going to have to eat, drink and sleep, all of which will be hard for him as he is undoubtedly under a lot of stress, his sleep pattern is going to be all over the place, his nerves on edge and his appetite blown. Im not sold on the idea that he would kill himself, He knows he is going to jail for a long time, He's a 'bouncer', sorry 'professional greeter', hes also a 'big old unit'. So this is aguy who wanted to work out at the gym and g
