Davey, Is this still for sale mate?
  2. I agree, somedays its just not worth it, I was supposed to be guiding 2 clients on a mountain scramble today on Tryfan, however lots of rain, thats no problem, but 70mph winds I have found that clients get a bit shaken up and dont enjoy the day! I had no contact number so couldnt ring them last night to cancel due to weather, so Had to get up and go and wait for them, after 1/2hr waiting at meeting point they turn up, they had been sat in their car in a carpark instead of meeting me in the nice warm cafe as stated in their joining instructions - obviously I told them they also needed a nav
  3. Well done with your good 'critter control' A point each. Cheers Mark
  4. Thats a very nice thing for someone to do, Only mates do that kind of thing, give Davey a choccy biccie from me as he deserves it
  5. Have an SP mate, nice write up and a good boot full of quality looking food I see what you mean about the mess in the boot! blood and fleas on your best bedspread hahaha
  6. You may need a threaded adaptor, is it a mk3 rifle?
  7. Ahw come on guys, cheaper doesnt mean better, we all need good support for country sports and joining BASC/SACS is money well spent, Countryside alliance are basically losing members left right and centre, so are trying to get new members by cheap member rates, this is not the way to go! Lots of other companies now setting up who just want a piece of the cake, they do not have or ever will have the clout to defend your sport. Look past the membership costs and a little more at what they spend the money on for the benefit of keeping shooting alive and untampered from the many anti-gun/anti
  8. Cheers Chaps, its nice to get silver, even 3rd place would have been cool. Southerner - I will be at the Midland fair on the Sunday, and may take my own gun with me, if I can be bothered to lug it around, otherwise Ill enter the mini hft and borrow a gun again as its more fun Darryl - Yep I now have a quest for trophies, but I will have to improve - alot hahaha Oh and also get a .177. Sweeny - cheers for the SP mate, now get back to work on your stock
  9. Mc 'd's! you gota be joking mate, what it needs is a little chef and a travel lodge
  10. I was going to say, after seeing you take such a lot of wood out the stock on page 4 pics "once its gone its gone", but the above pics look great, its coming on fast now, you know what I was just thinking? Balance points; of the stock and also of the rest of action/barrel etc, you could make it a real treat to swing and aim if both the balance points matched up and were matched to how you would shoulder the gun. Keep up the fantastic work, keep a track of the hours taken and the cost per hour for when everyone wants you to build them a custom stock
  11. Cool, you have a very quick grasp of language, thats exaclty what I said, well in a 'pigeon welsh'kind of way, Im learning Welsh, my GF is Welsh and it goes a long way up here if you learn the language. I havent got a clue if Whippeter speaks welsh apart from the clue in his second post that say 'Dim?' Which basically means 'No? or 'no thoughts anyone. Diolch - thanks Mark
  12. T'in iawn Whippeter, dwin hoffi sportsmatch, dim problem ond d'iawn wah. Diolch Mark dwin dysgu cymraeg, tippin bach.

  16. Cheers mate, I did expect to get well beaten as I was there so early in the morning, obviously not so, Im chuffed and I know you know that feeling of being presented with some silverware for the shelf Im definately going to see if I can make the next THL airgun section meet/competition as I want your cup too hehehe Mark

  18. Hi All, Had a great day at the Chatsworth game fair on Sunday, superb weather, good shooting and plenty to watch or take part in. After spending abit of time bashing clays, I spotted the air rifle ranges and decided to enter the mini HFT competition, 10 targets, 2 shots a piece and a very cheeky and very small 'rat' target as the longest shot, I didnt have my gun with me so borrowed an old .177 aa200. It was a bit blustery in the morning and fluffed the 1st shot, a little to the right and high, but scored a respectable 9, they made a note of my mobile number on the score card and off I w
  19. Me and my girlfriend are keeping the shooting going whenever possible whilst waiting for the police visit for SG license. We popped over to the Chatsworth game fair on Sunday and had a superb day in fantastic surroundings. After an early start we had a good fill of food, walked round the trade stands plenty of times and watched a few things. The simulated coursing was a good fun spectator sport, boy were some of those dogs fast! We both had a couple of sessions on the 'have a go' clays and mangaed to get a bit of coaching done as well, then later in the afternoon we had a walk
  20. LordGB - I guess he is under 18 then? Sling wise I have been using a Butler Creek thick padded neoprene sling, it was about £25, all good so far after 18months use. Very comfortable and the sharkskin backing makes it stick to your shoulder, great when hopping gates, no worries about it slipping off. all the best Mark
  21. I Just got the LED Lenser P7 gunlight kit, fantastic piece of kit, using it on a wide angle setting its quiet a soft light that doesnt spook the prey and simply lights their eyes up when they are hidden in the hedges. On spot focus it realy does stun them, very bright indeed, draw backs are as its an LED bulb you need to be creative with filters as the colour of the light is not the same as a standards bulb, however a couple of red quality street wrappers over the light gives for a pink light that works OK. http://www.torchdirect.co.uk/professional-torches/led-lenser-p7-inc-gun-mount-pres
  22. Personally I dont think you need them for stalking rabbits, However...Pigeons are another thing alltogether as they see you very easily, So if static shooting for pigeons its always better to get some form of camo' going, whether thats natural cover/hide and or wearing camo clothing.
  23. Nice on Stealthy, nice and sunny, wish it was the same here The nights a starting to draw in and lamping is on my mind, plus Im looking forward to work getting a bit less manic so I can get some shooting done yay Cheers Mark
