Recent Topics On Deerhounds/crosses(Please Look At This)
shaaark replied to my hounds's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Just rang about 'topsy'. Apparently I'm not suitable, after the 'vetting' that I was grilled with. Shame that, I've always wanted a smooth haired pracically all white deerhound! Never mind -
Is you black, and his the dog 'bangin' braa?

Too mutch too soon I would hold back till September/October then very steady with the odd run plus hope fully you have not damaged the dogs heart or lungs or anything else as regards a young developing pup. What would he have damaged his heart or lungs or am I missing something here? Heart or lungs 'or anything else'. The anything else will be injuries, however slight, to tendons, ligaments etc, in toes, shoulders, hips, down the spine, things like that, which many pups ran too young or developed enough will pick up and niggle them throughout their lives. Not saying it happens every time,

The land you walk over is NOT a muddy field MF. More like a 'blitzkrieg' zone! Lol I'm only on that land some of the time. I lamp a lot of dairy/beef land too. The rough stuff's do-able daylight, dawn and dusk but I'd be wary of it in the dark. Certainly does look more than a little hazardous lol

Perhaps he doesn't need, or even want an 'ultimate' type, but just a good, nippy, honest, tractable type of little cur, and these pups that rabbiting man is breeding sound ideal to me. I don't think the temperament of most of these malis or dutch shepherds would suit the majority of lurcher owners in general. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but like 'proper' bull bred types, I think they are too intense for most people

That's easy for you to say. another one of whin's relatives?! Lol
-
Agree entirely. Myself, I'm not that good a shot yet to comfortably take on a shot at more than 30 yards. But my son and his best mate regularly, and very accurately, take vermin at well over 40+ yards. But again, like you say, they both pracice practice practice, and again like you say, know their setups inside out, and have superb fieldcraft. But sometimes longer shots are the only chances you get.

Lol drank some of that about 25 years ago, that my father had given to him from one of his workmates when he was working in manchester. KIN EL . Will never forget it, and never drink it again! Lol

Thanks. not sure pal just blethering,Was it you that had a lightly feathered lemon and white bitch? Yes, that was 4 years ago. lol can remember a strangers dog but forget to pick my flask up? Sure is an attractive colour. And the ones with only a slight bit of feathering, like that bitch, are for me far better looking
-
That dark bitch, the least feathered one, is a belter. Not seen one that colour, what colour is that?

I looked at that thread cuz I had never seen it before. I can assure all of you there are plenty of culls being bred over here. I look at some of the shit people keep and I just shake my head. Lil snipey nosed weedy bitches being bred to skinny scrawny pencil necked shit eaters. Before anybody gets all crazy and goes to importing dogs please make sure you know who you are getting the dogs from. There are coyote dogs and then there are COYOTE DOGS! Aint heard the 'pencil necked shit eaters' for a while! Lol. I like that description of SHIT lol

Just copied this for you grompz.Salmon also provides important amounts of the antioxidant amino acid taurine. ... Salmon is an excellent source of vitamin B12, vitamin D and selenium. It is a good source of niacin, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, phosphorus and vitamin B6. It is also a good source of choline, pantothenic acid, biotin and potassium. It's good stuff to feed mate that's why I'm after some. I've bought the salmon oil samurai.I'm after the heads as a food source aswell mate. Used to feed trout and salmon heads, boiled then cooled, mashed up into my old staff's food.

Yep, bendy lanes, quick sharpish movements etc, where the dog is unsteady and moving around a fair bit won't help. Try to minimise the amount of movement your dog has when it's in the car

22" tts is what I'd expect from the breeding, with only that small amount of greyhound in there. Nice pup
-
Nice pup that. Looks to have thrown more to the whippet. Is there whippet in sire and dam, or just one parent?
-
Cracking pics again. Nice to see the 'show bred shite whippets' catching the odd one on easy ground lol
-
Kin el, just looked at a few of those reports!
-
760 in 3 nights, pull your finger out you slacker! Lol. Good shooting
-
Good luck homing this litter. Don't know about the dam, but the sire is one well put together, fit looking animal, cracker

It's when a dog hasn't got the speed to catch the Hare and just tries to block it's escape..... I'm a bit confused by your posts mate. In the 'pure saluki' thread you slagged salukis and coursing bred dogs off for 26 pages. Then in the 'fast dogs' thread you stated you'd like a pup from jigsaw's dog, which is a 1st x saluki/grey. And now in this thread you slag them off again. Slagging off???? Yep It's when a dog hasn't got the speed to catch the Hare and just tries to block it's escape..... LOL Another pearl of knowledge Do you want some tips, hopefully one day we will have

CC I know you've had a couple of walthers, might be more members on here too, but you've spoken of them recently. Would you say the terrus is a better rifle than say a 99 or a lightning etc? I have only had one mate the LGV, I have no experience of the terrus, I have had just about every quality springer going over the years, tuned and untuned, and I can say hand on heart, that LGV was the best spring rifle I have ever used, it was lazer accurate, smooth as silk, and with a moderator fitted, almost pcp quiet, the only thing not as good as Weihrauch or AA is the trigger, dont get me wrong i
