Put a 1st x border collie/whippet to her, If you're that set about having a litter from her. She's already 25" tts so adding anything with more greyhound in will, in theory, possibly give you taller dogs than what you want.

Well if you want to keep height and staying power, plus better coat, I'd go for a good deer/grey -
DEERHOUND X GREYHOUND PUPS 10MONTH
shaaark replied to collie daft's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
many of us had deer/grey cross collie/grey in the 80s, almost the standard lurcher of its time, and most made reasonable all rounders. not sure how many were genuine, as there would have needed to be a hell of a lot of coursing deerhounds at stud lol. google sorisdale deerhounds, now i know it is difficult to judge conformation from photos, but some of those dogs look more like camels or donkeys than deerhounds, and certainly none have what we would look for in a working hound. seem to be big heavy cloddy things too, and excessive weight added to poor feet would certainly explain why the c -
If it aint doing teeth by the time it's 11-12 months old, sell the c**t, you've obviously bought a crock of shite from a line of jackers lol

Was definitely colder for longer back then than what it is now. January 1978 and 1980, epecially 78, were good, or bad. depending on your viewpoint lol, years for snow. 1978 we had 3-4 foot of snow right along our streets, and 6-7 foot drifts all over the place. Many parts of south wales came to a standstill. Main roads were cut off, travel of any sort was really disrupted. Seasons were very much still seasons then. They're all over the place now, warm and wet for much of the year now, mad

DEERHOUND X GREYHOUND PUPS 10MONTH

I know, was just making a point in general really. After morton's negative post . I think the pair of those pups have probably turned out pretty decent, especially the bitch, but I will agree with morton about her left hind foot, it did look a bit flat lol, might've been just the way she was stood though. Pics are not the best resource of checking something out properly lol would be nice to hear how they came on now and how they look,as young dogs never do a cross any credit I know, was just making a point in general really. DEERHOUND X GREYHOUND PUPS 10MONTH
shaaark replied to collie daft's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Thats a poor looking Deerhoundy bitch, short coupled, short necked, narrow fronted and weak skulled, the dog looks a tad wider between the ears but is slender jawed and as weak looking as the bitch.A very poor representation of a Deerhoundy.haha, bit harsh morton.short coupled and short neck could be solved by showing it something and they'll stand better.other crtisism's can see your point.look at the back foot on the bitch.Deerhoundys where noted for their strength, long back, long powerfull neck and a jaw suited to their frame, wide and powerful stance and an invincible aura,i didn,t get any of tha -

Taking The Piss To A Whole New Level.

Good point there. How many dogs/pups, of whatever breeding, have little or no hunting/prey drive? Practically none. When I was growing up, loads of lads my age, or a bit older, had mongrels/pets that u couldn't stop hunting if you tried! And that would be dogs/pets with very little sighthound, if any, in them. Plain facts are, most dogs, of whatever type/breed, will want to work A Ford KA will get you from A to B but you wouldnt put it in formula 1 would you same with dogs Using dogs and cars as an analogy, is a bit like trying to make sense of 'whin's' posts. And most people don't -

That's another way of looking at it I suppose lolNB hope my comment didn't come across as a criticism of yours re general dogs/ drive stuff. Was purely meant as a reflection on people who breed (and, indeed, buy) unnecessarily while there are dogs galore in rescues that will fit most dedicated responsible homes. No offence taken . I just find it hard to believe that anyone, including the people that put that ad up, don't realise that almost any dog of any breeding will want to hunt, particularly with hound, spaniel, terrier or sighthound blood in them. And that list will more than likely b -

Well, what can you say? Lol. Whilst the price is a bit ridiculous, it does include food, toys, collar, lead and pups will be fully innoculated, the rest of the add/info isn't really that bad. I've heard far more spurious claims as to what the pups will be capable of, and the parents excel at, from the majority of lurcher litters I've been to see over the years. 'Yeah both parents take every british mammal with ease, single handed. 100% fox dogs, superb ferreting dogs, couldn't ask for better lampers, every rabbit or hare tretrieved live to hand. Regularly catching 20 - 30 rabbits, 2 or 3 har -
There few pics in the gallery on there ,but like you said it would be interesting to know what they are doing work wise. Trouble is not many people wanting them to work want to buy from non workers or pay £300 so kind of limits the clients to canine sports or people wanting a trendy Lurcher to walk behind horses etc. But not many people are breeding collie lurchers and not many people want hassle of getting a collie and a sight hound to make their own. So that's why people go to him. There's another person been punting out collie whippets every year carmthen way Yeah, in the galler

Same here, to me that's what a bull x should look like. Like they can run and in proportion. That's a pair of very nice dogs. f**k me, I'm getting softer as I get older, liking some saluki x's and salukis, and now bull x's! ...... . Fairplay though 'mad for it', they are very nice dogs

just used my we clulite and had about 33lb of rabbits pup done good for her first time How old is the pup nl, don't say 5 months?! ....................

A T, is that a cairn terrier? Looks very like one . Looks nice anyway

Don't forget to add "retrieved" and "pre-ban" every other sentence even though your dog is 2 years old. Damn near unbreakable code. Yeah lol, 1st x deer/grey for stud 4 years old. Takes r/h/f/d, 'pre ban' lol

Which do you prefer mate? defo 120 for me i like to what the dog closing in on them not so easy to to with the 150 Should that read 'defo 120 for me I like to see when dog is closing in on them, not so easy to do with the 150'? If it is, that's exactly what somewhereyournot said in his reply to you. the 150 beam is a bit too tight. And unless you know every square foot of the ground you're on, or avoid certain fields altogether, some of these tight beams can make things potentially more dangerous than they already are

Won't have to look too hard, this place is full of the c**ts! Lol
