  1. Apparently many pups are born with a slight murmer. They grow out of it pretty quickly, and it does'nt affect them. My lad bought a pup exactly as you described, the f****r could run forever! On an ordinary walk I've never seen any dog cover so much ground at a canter almost every mile we walked. Lol I wouldn't worry unduly over it
  2. If the stock is made to fit difarent actions then that makes good business sense plus it saves money like i say,d CHEAP SH*T :whistling: I know you're having a laugh lol, but I wouldn't call walther rifles cheap. Just not as expensive as weirhauchs, which in my opinion have stayed a bit too expensive for what they are, due to the continued popularity of them. I know that sounds a bit conradictory, as in if people are still buying them they must be good, and of course they are, but look at the amount of people on plenty of sites, including this one, that complain of poorly
  3. Not being picky here, well, sort of, but if there's english bull and patterdale in it it's not exactly a beddy x staff, even if there's beddy and staff in it. Bit like alot of lurcher lads that say they've got a bull x, then you ask how it's bred, then you get the rundown, 'sire was bull/grey x collie/grey dam was saluki/whippet/grey x bull/grey'. There's bull in there, but it aint a bull x. But like boland said, it is an ugly little f****r lol .
  4. what i remember, they was popular in south wales many moons a go.i think they was used mainly for ratting. I'm from south wales and saw those dogs at a show in south wales. Did alot of ratting when I was younger, but never seen a beddy x staff ratting.
  5. Seen a couple at a show about 15ish years ago, ugly as f**k and marked up quite badly. That was the only time I've seen any. As '5 feet down' said' though, I don't know if they'd be any different to your normal terrier types, or what they were used on. But they were both smaller than what you'd expect
  6. Yes fairplay, you've said about the LGV for a while. Didn't have any in the rfd's I initially went to, so recently bought a new 97 KT
  7. ................... . All for that, been saying it for ages
  8. I think a lad on here had the very same type, saluki/coursing bred type to a 1st x wheaten/greyhound. About 2 or 3 years ago. Can't remember the name. Might be worth having a search on here
  9. The exact rifle I'm picking up this tuesday, but in .20 cal
  10. Was going to ask how come you selling up? There's the answer
  11. The sire is a nice dog. How tall is he mate?
  12. Jigsaw, you have or had deer/greys and saluki/greys, is there that much difference in the mindset of each, or as with alot of dogs is it just down to the individual dog? I'm assuming physically they'd be pretty similar, apart from coat obviously lol
  13. what like an english german sheppard or a scottish german shorthaired pointer.? Was just about to say that lol. Same could be said for most breeds of dog, bred in this country for generations, but originating in a completely different country lol, but the german shepherd analogy is the one that first came to mind
  14. Sounds a nice mix that, good luck
  15. In an ideal world yes that is how you would want them to be. Unfortunately they are lurchers and as such can gravitate to any of it's genes. You may end up with the brains of a greyhound, speed of a bedlington and fire of a collie, i hope not but it is certainly possible. I've read of that possible scenario a few times, but have never actually seen it. All the pups in mixed litters I've seen have all been pretty much fast enough, itelligent enough, fiery enough and fairly racy. Some more than others, but none turning out like you've just posted. Not calling you a liar, just saying wha
  16. what's phenotype? if you don't mind me asking. The type of dog that runs well on the Phens Kin el lpd, don't confuse the lad lol
  17. he liked my post first! Jooohnny jooohny jooohnny jooohnny
  18. Both looking in great shape, the black one's gonna be massive by the time he's mature. Yep, that pup is a lovely animal
  19. Sure would make for some more light hearted posts/comments lol . Things seem to get a bit serious quite quickly on here of late. I start reading some posts and before they've had three or four replies, some serious f****r jumps all over it! No good
  20. Not often I agree with everything you write in a post db, but I do here
  21. Is johnnymuddler still on here? His posts were amusing, and more often than not pretty thought provoking, and also helped these long summers seem to be not as long and boring. Man in't pub was a good friend and mentor to him lol
