  2. Took him out havent long got back he had a few short runs and as soon as he lost it i called him he was coming back staright away, he was 10 times better than last night. i think i will just keep at him untill its second nature to him, run then back on to slip. apart from this hes coming on a treat, fine with other dogs/ stock/ ferrets and hes jumping gates for fun. need to iron this out before it becomes a habit. Thanks Rob

  4. i will get on top of him, and i think it might take some time, his recall is spot on otherwise, its just when hes out and if he misses one his prey drive is so strong hes not willing to accept that he has missed it if that makes sence. If i am starting to talk bollucks tell me! I am going to start to get him back to me when he is hunting up in the day i am taking him out now so see how it goes

  7. Probabily get some stick form some clever feck who knows it all but here we go:- Bit of advice, i have a bull x pup now just turned a year old, my first lurcher as i have only been interested in the terrier sides of things, he's been out every day for a fair few months now just hunting about with the collie after rabbits and has started to mark well to ground, if he misses one in the day it does not bother me and i enjoy watching him hunting up and trying to work it all out. His prey drive is very high. Most of his work will be daytime, but i do enjoy going out lamping. The question is thi
  8. mine thinks as much of the dogs as i do, she loves coming out with the terriers, but i have not managed to get her on the spade yet! lol she helps with cleaning the dogs up after. I told her right at the start that this is what i do, and how much it means to me, at the start she once called my terrier a work a hobby, if she did!!! I am glad she's ok with my hunting. I wouldnt put up with any nagging or moaning. She wouldnt dare give an ultumatem, as she knowns what would happen. So Far So Good!!! Rob

  10. For the last three month my muts have been on a raw diet, before it was a complete with meat now and again, in the last two months i can really see a difference with coats, teeth are now pearly white even with my older dog where the tartar build up was quite bad, and shit, shit well the real lack of it, which leaves me to belive how much rubbish they put into the complete that the dogs cant digest. From what i have seen in a short space of time i will never go back to feeding complete as their main staple.

  16. Pigs will prety much destroy any fence, and churn the ground up, pigs generally fatten better kept in a sty where they generally eat and sleep, a few of my mates buy in a few piglets when they are about out of pork and they grow like mad! Nice meat as well a little bit fattier than pigs kept out, had 1/2 pig that was free range and it was tough old bugger to eat!
