  10. When home to see my parents last night and as i got to the house i had a chat with a neighbour who does a bit of hunting. He was out rough shooting on his parents farm the other day and they come across a lurcher. Just thought i would post this incase anybody knew anything! Did not get description of dog, but there cant be many missing about there! Happy New Year All
  11. If your taking the pup on just for digging then i would say no, with only the father being tested a little bit, eighteen months to two years is a long time to give the pup the best. bringing it only steadily and to see it fail is just to hard. You need all the luck in your court before you start when you take a young pup on. When you have well tested parents then you stand a good chance of owning a good dog. It does not always happen like this, and there are exceptions. ATB anyway! Rob
  12. been using something similar on the terriers through the summer, really gets them fit and hardens up their muscles
  13. i got the new one about 2 weeks ago, i like it its solid, i think you could drive over this and still be in one piece! over say 6 digs i have found it a lot steadier, arrows dount bother, they should have got rid of that function. Still just getin used to the box been sillent! does not sound sound [bANNED TEXT]!lol plus i liked the beeping on the old box in case it got covered in soil! overall i like them!
  14. got a kelpie here with a little bit of sheepdog in the mix, shes 16 months now, trained her up on the sheep but recently been taking her out bushing after rabbits, keen and will fly through the middle of bramble patches, good nose, just gets a little bit mad on scent when hunting needs to steady up a bit. Shes about 20" to the shoulder and light framed and shes come close a few times on rough rushy ground but nowhere near on open. Easy to train as well
