    Imo Putting a terrier in at the end just to get bitten does not teach them nothing. Let them locate on their own in a smallish place and it will teach them a lot more, finding is half the battle! From a age of 18 months onward for the serious work

    A good digging dog is something that can be used regularly, you need a steady type that knows how much pressure to put on, why keep something that gets used once and is out of it for a month. When your out 3 times a week through the season you have to keep steady types or you end up having to kennel 20 plus dogs! Other main attributes are good nose, to stay all day if they have to, manners - quiet on the hole when not used/ no fighting with others. And not over searching - fair enough have a look round but when they keep going round wanting something to be there for hours on end is a real faul

    dogs need to fed once a day seven days a week, all this skipping days is rubbish and is no way benificial to the dog.

    just ask the farmer, hell be pleased that there are a few few less about the place and he'll probabily just say something along the lines of "leave them at the bottom there and ill sort them out later", 6months down the line you re-visit the farm and their still there were you left them minus some meat and fur!!! haha

    Thinking of having a long weekend over in the summer, what would be the best show to have a look at, not fussed on all these trade stands and and bouncy castles its the same where ever you go. Just wanting to go and see a real good quality dog show that i can take my mut over and clear up! haha Thanks Rob

    they are a nightmare to find! the only two that i found were down the other side of london both old fashioned side by side pistols, found a proper pistol 40 miles down the road in the end, very lucky! Good luck with your search!

    So your slating the whole line on the fact that of the two dogs you seen work weren't up to much good! Not every dog is going to work, but i bet you any money you will not find a more consistent producing line anywhere. As you say you have only seen two go...

    i would say that that size is fine its a good long run in any case

    dublin dezzy nice set up, thinking along the same lines as above, but with the drainage to the back of the run under the bed, so that you can hose the run from the front of the pen. Does he have a problem with the piss soaking into the block?
