    lab if only you knew how many times the welsh boys talk about that honestly every time out at least one will mention it even in phone calls but not easy thing to do with families jobs and morgatges.but funny you commented on it because it is a main topic of conversation in wales whenever we are out or talking on phones wish i had a pound for every tme i have said or heard imagine living up here .lol.

    not everyone that leaves the catch in the feild wants to . but this goverment and its laws has made it so some people have no choice . example you have been running dogs all your life and they are a way of life for you .and all you think of every day even when your in work.to run your dog on your chosen quarry its a 7 or 8 hour round trip to run them. now answer me do you pack the dogs in because its to dangerous to bring the quarry home or do you still go out for a run . easy to say on a computer you would pack the dogs in rather than leave them but a damn site harder thing to do when its a

    if you want to find the breeding way back google paws village and put in the name of your dog in saluki breeding and all its breeding going way back will come up .of course this is only any good if the paperwork is correct and the dog is bred like it says on the paperwork.

    Your never going to get two dogs the same out of any litter no matter what the pedigree. It's not just about obedience training either it comes down to what gets put in front of the dog and how often. There's so many different factors that come into play that shape a dog. If you don't put game in front of your dog regularly it won't have much chance of reaching it's potential.....and if Whins dogs were as good as he thinks they are there would be no game left in his area. toby if the owner has so little to do with it how come the same people seem to have a top dog all the time whether

    its what the new owner does and makes with it when he or she gets it home that counts theres plenty of very well bred pups havnt made the grade because of their owners not bringing them on or rearing them properly . but funny the breeder dont ge the fault then. good luck ifyou do decide to buy one rear and bringit on properly and it will be ok .

    first cross greyhound whippet will give you looks speed preydrive and lots more imo ideal dog for somene starting out as they will certainly give the excitment every run. i know all about injuries but in my opinion one of the easiest crosses to enter to quarry . i personally run a first cross saluki greyhound i bred myself but its horses for courses and they suit what i run .

    pat the show and champion of champions ran like clockwork and showed all the hard preparation that went in to it in fairness everyone has said what a great day and show it was but a few were expecting same format and preferred the old way but at the end of the day the ones doing all the work call the shots and rightly so thats how it should be ..running a show similar to judging easy to critise but in this case i dont think it was critism but more of people expecting to see the old way of scoring .and disapointed when it was not .hope your well john .

    nice read whin agree totally about keepered land theres an estate not to far away that was alive with game when there were 2 keepers looking after it. took some big numbers of it years ago also got chased many times and locked up once now you can go on there without to much hassle but complete waste of time since the shoots and keepers finished hardly any game on there at all in fact not really worth the short drive and walk around there .

    in 30 odd year the best slips ive ever used are an old horses lead rein cut to length buy one and make yourself 4 good length slips .plus the hook end makes a strong lead been doing it for years but every buggar cadges them so end up going to buy another lol.

    lurcherlass you and your lot did a brilliant show just a pity about the stalls which is nothing to do with you but more the organisers but hopefully they will get it back to how it used to be ..on the showing a lot of people prefered the old way of judging the champion of champions because it was a unique way that no one else used and just about the most fair and honest way of getting 4 differant judges to pick a champion of champions .but dont worry about it because its you and lurcherlink who do all the hard work so just carry on doing a very worthwhile cause .cheers john.
