    pups look well and cracking looking i bred a litter of first cross myself their 19 months old now pictures on here somewhere but dont know how to transfer them across .

    saw along with about another 15 people macs rambo kill 8 on fens and not one kick up among them. the full sister to this dog the following saturday killed 9 single handed wasnt there that day had to work but plenty saw her do it . mac ran some real tools in them days about 8 yr ago approx .

    my opinion is brought up as a pup like you would a lurcher they can be taught how to behave and become a good hunting partner.yes they do get injured but so do a lot of fast lurcher types mine included because i love a real up and at em type of lurcher . i raced greyhounds as well and never found any nasty around humans ,now other dogs differant kettle of fish ,but given time they can be brought around a mate has had a few that were fair lampers and these were not young when he had them admittedly one did get killed running in to a post and broke its neck but had lurchers do the same .whether

    trouble is nowadays a lot of yougsters got no scruples when i started if someone showed me or took me to a good place never went back unless invited ,whether permission or as it usually was poaching .nowadays its more dog eat dog and they are back there with their mates behind your back and bringing it on top for you if you go there next time .ive got quite a few youngsters started in the dog game over the years ,but lately been burnt by a few so it makes you think twice before taking them .

    nothing better in my eyes than a good dog behind a daytime hare but i have lamped hares and not going to be a hypocrite. some are easy and best left alone but otheres are as hard as daytime if big land and seen light before . nowadays tend to only go daytime much better sport in my eyes .but and theres always a but what would you rather happen you know for a lot of hares is it better to run them with a dog on the lamp or shoot them daytime . i know which ide prefer to happen1st run them daytime 2nd run them on the lamp 3 leave them alone because i dont like the thought of shooting them.all pr

    quite right mate as long as you enjoy your dogs and have fun doing what you do with them thats all that counts. but gotta be honest even after all these years and its been a lot of years its still much more fun with a good dog than it is with a rubbish one but as you say the main thing is to enjoy what your doing with them :thumbs: .

    oneshot your right its your pup to do what you want with but it is to young mate to be doing that kind of distance watch him playing after a few minutes their knackered and need their rest and sleep plus your playing with fire walking him before its had the last innoculation . nothing wrong .with getting it to learn to follow you around but take it a bit easier with him would be my advice as the bones are still very weak and you could be doing more harm than good .this is not having a go just a bit of sound advice and good luck with your puppy anyway .

    a good mate of mine reckons i could get lost in a phone box and hes serious lol.happened to me loads of times over the years in fact last time on the lamp said to mates ime going back to car as knees playing up hour later their back at car and on mobile asking where i am didnt have a fecking clue i was still walking and the car was 10 mins from where i left themhad to come and find me they were pissing theirselves laughing all the way home TWATS.lol

    cheers storm 70 and its great to see a post left alone with no crabbers lol i have in the past had 2 that were above the norm and would catch numbers anywhere but tbh it was a few year ago now.ime happy enough with the ones i own at the moment as i have had running dogs all my life and love to watch all running dogs do what they do best no matter who owns them,.but when you see something a bit special running it is a great spectacle to see.cheers john.

    as the title says imagine if on a busy saturday every one that owns a lurcher terrier or hound went along to their local police station and made a point that they were all going out with their dogs to break the law by hunting banned quarry . now i know this will never happen but just imagine the mayhem this would cause throughout the country nationwide to the police forces. if the ban ever gets worse might be a good idea .lol.

    i always get more satisfaction out of a dog ive reared from a pup or better still bred as well, but very difficult to get a pup going living in s wales . ok if you want a lamper or a dog for mouching about ,but to run daytime on what i like its very difficult to put the game in front of them on a regular basis enough to make them top class . as even to run what we call local entails a 4 hour round trip and to run on the big land its 4 hours each way . not moaning at the distance because when we get there its all worth the distance somehow makes you appreciate it even more . but as a well kno
