    whin i was talking more about litters you breed yourself where you know both parents . trying to pick which you consider the best pup in litter at a few weeks/months old ive never found it easy .

    picking a young pup out of a litter is a bit of a lottery as other than colour and condition theres nothing to go on pick of the litter really boils down to having first pick nothing else .one litter i bred i just ended up keeping the last one left its the bitch in my avater and she ended up a cracker and really good bitch day and night on all quarry .

    glad to say she is home and feeling her old self back to eating like a horse and showing who is boss in the kennel and yard . fingers crossed she should make a full recovery slowly slowly now with her . thanks again for all the well wishes .

    totally agree with above post theres enough loopholes to get away with it at the moment but if they have a vote and we lose whos to say they will not close and tighten the loopholes let sleeping dogs lie i say . and i did more than most to try and stop the ban coming into force .

    moo no i cant understand how giving them for free will make the standard go up and ive had a think about it as well. but gotta say moo thats a cracking setup i would love to have it fair play to you.some kennel setup that . :thumbs:

    skycat your dead right with above post but common sence and self preservation skills are way down her list of good points . now will to get to her quarry and single mindedness to forget anything in her ay she is top of her class lol.

    just had a phone call of the vet looks like she is going to be ok no internal damage but vet did say she is one lucky dog .she dont look lucky, looking at my bank balance after the bill is paid lol. but tbh price never ever came in to it and thanks everyone for good wishes .cheers john .

    had the same thing years ago early season when it was still a bit to warm managed to get her to vet and pulled through but frightening as vin said take your time untill its fitter .

    gutted ran my first cross saluki greyhound yesterday and got on something s he shouldnt and crashed through hedge and opened herself right up pierced on stake. chest cavity wide open and nearly bled to death before getting her to vet which was an hour away thank god i had first aid kit in car boys/girls make sure you carry one always. anyway bitch has been on drip all night operating on her later this afternoon fingers crossed i bred her myself and she was flying and has done everything i have asked of her and more up to now . unbeileivable prey drive and mouth on this bitch but high prey driv

    jarv how can you think £200 for a well bred reared pup is over the top unbeleivable. i bred a litter of first cross saluki greyhounds paid £250 stud fee took the bitch to the dog twice in wigan from wales. not cheap beleive me then reared them on the best of everything wormed them reguarly plus jabbed them all and spent £100 pounds on adverts gave my son and son in law one each free and you think £200 is expensive you got to be having a laugh .

    i keep 3 because i like having them round me full stop . i suppose i really only need 2 workwise but enjoy them so thats what counts . ime way past the my dog is better than stage or wanting the best in the country .as long as ime happy with them and how they perform thats all that counts nowadays.
