  1. 2 very smart kennel setups there fair play to you .
  2. hy chook i dont think people expect it round the rings the lurcher show and events were fine as they were. we are talking about the show away from rings with all the stalls and other things .years ago there used to be a lot of feildsport stalls and countryside type stalls at this show .
  3. agree with skycat that the show is a bit of a on off compared to others but the lurcher part is for a great cause and the more people through the gate the more money for lurcherlink hopefully. and with more country type stalls it would just make the day that little bit better for everyone. but hopefully mainly lurcherlink who lets not forget do a brilliant job all year round not just on this one day of the year .
  4. same here gaffer but i use the drink form carry a sports bottle with me when out working them find it helps them recover quicker after a really gruelingrun.
  5. that looks a real tidy serious bit of kit wish i had the wonga spare.
  6. nice to meet you there watchman . there were quite a few of us of here there on the day.
  7. cod liver oil. vitamin e. a multi vitamin.and loads of others out there but read up because some are not supposed to be given with others because you will lose their effectivness
  8. i was just wondering are there many using the top saluki lines as allrounders rather than just for daytime bigears .i know a few that use them on the lamp ,but not many daytime i know jd rates the saluki cross as a good allrounder but are there many others that do cheers.
  9. i personally would like to see the organisers of the show and by show i dont mean the lurcher or terrier side of it but the actual show itself get more countryside and feildsports trade stands there which i believe would make it a much bigger show allround . and stallholders are definately missing a great oppurtunity not being at this show with it being one of the last before christmas.as i spoke to quite a few who were going to stock up on christmas presents but didnt get the chance to because there was hardly anything there to buy other than cheap market tack.
  10. i really beleive we didnt push the boat far enough during the build up to the ban i and loads of others went on all the marches wrote letters to papers and mps and did loads of other things blocking motorways. posters.and barricading loocal mps in their houses with vehicles.but and here is where i feel we failed because i really think at one stage the goverment were concerned where it was going to end and this is when we should have put a big effort in and had the marches in the week not on sundays when it didnt really disrupt the citys.and bring them to a standstill when midweek marches and d
  11. my 2 favourites of his would be nathan and rogues and running dogs and ive read the lot but say what you want he was a very good author. and sold a lot of books and because of him a lot of youngsters got in to the lurchers and terriers it was just a pity that he wrote that he had done all those things himself and that his dogs did what he said in the books.
  12. and living in wales theres 2 big problems 1 is sheep and 2 if your caught with a shock collar your in deep shit . as their banned.
  13. with the state of our country i think the hunting ban is way from top of agenda and tbh if it gets a free vote which is the best we can hope for it still will not get overturned imo.ime afraid we have to work the loopholes that are there and carry on as we are .
  14. i have judged the champion of champion a few times at this show and the old way was defo the best and most fair you are never going to get 4 judges to agree completely but with the old way you did not have to and none of the judges knew who had won or been placed untill it was added up afterwards. more difficult way of judging for the actual judges but the most fair and honest way for the competitors. didnt see the show because helping with racing but big well done to all winners and to lurcherlink for a great cause .
  15. sounds a great trip and time you had whin. and forget the photos with all the shit about at the moment keep them for yourself and close freinds safer in the long run .
  16. i did have a hancock bitch going back a long time that was trained to a very high standard and you could drop her and walk off and leave her and she would not move untill you came back for her also used to drop her by a gate if we were lamping hares and she would stay there unless the hare came through the gate.but my dogs are gone really downhill obediance wise over the last 8 year or so my one runs of and eats any rabbits she catches lol and one a few year ago when coursing around pershore pre ban caught the hare and retreived the frigging thing to the farnmer who was screaming at us . lets
  17. i was there great to meet some faces of here only downside was nothing to do with the dogside but personally thought the stall side was more like a market there wasnt half a dozen stalls with anything too do with the countryside or hunting very disapointing side of it .
