And how many of these 'eu polecats' do we ever see posted about on a days ferreting in winter? None. But they all come out the wood work come breeding and selling time.

To be fair, even if you keep them 'pure' (what a joke) then after a few gens in captivity, they are ferrets. What do you call a tame polecat, you can handle, and take ferreting??? A ferret.

Is not the ferocity of a wild animal a large part of what makes a polecat a polecat??? The wildness. You breed it out of them for generations and you have a ferret, no matter what it looks like or the DNA tests say. Why do you even breed them anyway? What drew you to these animals?

Exactly, for most it has nowt to do with any real impact on their lives, people just like something to moan about and blame for 'the state of this country'. There are a lot of things that personally get on my tits or offend me a bit, but i wouldnt run about trying to 'ban' it. I was not happy when they banned hunting, because a majority thought it was wrong, even though it did no practical harm to any of them. Funny how you you take these journals as gospel,did you research and publish them yourself? Now you are just making your self sound thick. No offense. I don't take anything as 'gospel' but i am more inclined to believe something that was created / written with no agenda, based upon in depth research, which has been presented and analyzed, transparently. What i meant was, does anyone have any experience of a ferret with a serious uterine infection responding well to anti-biotics, or any serious infection that a ferret has come back from through the use of anti biotics? Just wanted to know for reference. sad fact they mainly dont recover Aye, that's my thoughts. It's a very tough place to shift an infection from.

A whippet shouldn't get anywhere near 18kg imo but like I have said that's just my opinion. I'm no getting into an argument about it I have put my views acress and what I know about the whippet. And look back over my posts I have never "dissed" the bigger whippet I've just said they are not for me. And as for my pup well we'll see what the future holds for him... Surely you cannot 'teach' a dog how to kill one, but they will 'learn', thing is, i would have thought that MOST dogs will instinctively go for a throat hold IF the decide they want to kill a fox? Is it not natural instinct?
