  1. I can see six and a half weeks on, seven to eight being the normal and probaby about as early as is right, less than six isnt fair on the pup and i'd question anyone who was desperate to get shot of them any earlier! Also the pup misses out on a lot!
  2. is going to have a mental breakdown. . . .

You'll be fine butt, chin up. ;)

  3. Mink vary in size, ive seen some real big feckers.
  4. Ok so maybe i got it wrong. I thought you had a mink bottled up and just fancied dropping the ferret in to let it have a dust up with the mink and see if it'd 'do it'. I'd just say its a bad idea and have heard of a few folk who have had ferrets killed to ground by a mink.
  5. What a knob. Despatching something is one thing, getting the ferret so you can watch a scrap is lame.
  6. Get a place with plenty of rabbits spaces out and have him out, in, out , in, out, in, out , in etc over and again. Get him back on the slip everytime, no matter what and straight onto another rabbits. Pick a good windy, wet night when his nose wont be so much use to him. Penny will soon drop and dog will get it that coming back means another run.
  7. that red dog looks well What,,, and the white dog doesn't ??? You are starting to sound like Minshaw Boy
  8. Mine tries to go through the windscreen if he sees something in a fied as we pass . . . .
  9. It's helpful if you get known as a good lad, who is responsible, handy round a shoot etc. Will really help, if you know a few fok, when it comes to looking for a job. A lot of jobs are never really advertised publicly.
  10. Some vets are better than others, i recently had two consultations, an injection of anti biotics, a course of oral anti biotics, some syringes, for about 40 quid.
  11. Expensive as feck to run, and the defenders are a pain if you are tall or big, cos of the fixed bulk head. Most folk who have them dont really need them a lot of the time. Probably be better with a vitara, or an estate or van. Landys are ok for driving off road but we do something like 500 miles average hunting driving a week, so it'd cripple us on the fuel.
  12. Aye, i think thats the thing, there is a difference between having dogs off a slip and them chasing what you light up, and properly working dogs with no slip, abe to walk up on a rabbit, with the dog at your side until you send them in. Not a fecking chance with mine, being pure sight hound, he only has to think hes seen a bunny down the beam and hes fecking off at top speed!
  13. Stig, tired to pm you, but you in box is full, mine was full and didnt realise, but i have made space now!

  14. Is that your mates dog? A lad called FTBBTH on here? Also the dog of iworkchiahuhas . . . .. . . . split personality me thinks . . . .
  15. That's ridiculous to pull a thread just because the member who started it got banned,it shows a big disregard and disrespect for the other members who had posted.
  16. It's a big funny looking rabbit mate. ... . . obviously. . . . . . .
  17. I know mate, i'm doing well, i got actual proof of johnny boy and you digging, To be fair johnny and i split all the digging 50/50. And yes, its a racecourse, as you can imagine, they live in fear of rabbits.
  18. Aye it was shit. Not the first time we have had it though. Need to put a wire cutters in the motor. The worst we have ever had was digging through a buried car about 8 foot down. I wasnt too stressed about it today though because ive recently seen some holes dug that put it in perspective
