    I'd say i'd agree in one area, but i go all over mate and its the same story everywhere, it can only be the wet, shitty summer. the only spots that seem to be a bit better is the high ground. There was also very little natural food this year, in comparisson to other years. I have noticed that most of what ive caught this year was not born this summer, but were older rabbits, and thats over a number of countys in england and wales, covering probably a 300 mile area from southern to northern tip.

    As you lot seem the experts on jackers , i have a question. Anyone known a dog that was fantastic for one person and totally, and i mean, totally useless for others, i.e, it would run its heart out for one man, but if he wasn't there, it wouldnt even entertain a proper chase?

    I think you have to accept that this year is shite, you have to soldier on and do what you can, look for new land and try to safe guard some populations, maybe even re-stock some places (shut the f**k up, before folk start moaning about it being illegal). Hopefully it will get better in the future. Im planning to assess somethings this summer and move in order to get better access to game, even if that means moving over seas, but i have the luxury of no kids or wife. But as morton says you just need to walk more miles, but it is disheartening as f**k, never seeing owt. Or just give up on the

    im in herts as well mate,few places i used go got hammered to the point you was lucky to get a run mainly by the shooting lads im afraid to say but even though i tend to get around a bit numbers are still very low,just got to lay off and hope for the best next season cheers I could understand if the permissions had been Hammered, and although there are a few that do one of my permissions, I've got 3 others that no one else goes on, i know they could be poached, but I've never seen any signs of it.     Now, im not saying that its not really shitty for the baby and its family. But it's a fox, and that was meat, why does everyone get so surprised? They act like the foxes are suddenly trying to over throw people, or have become eveil wer-foxes. It's an opportunitic predator, which has lost its fear of people, in the urban environment, of course its going to try to eat any meat that it thinks it can get away with. They need controlling like the rats etc do, but they are just foxes, doing what foxes do.

    There are still rabbits but i would definatly say that the nation wide population is a lot lower than in previous years.

    Well, the season is almost at an end, and i get the impression that for many, it's not been that outstanding! Still, always plenty of fun to be had. So the question is, whats been your best day or night so far this season, any discipline, can be numbers wise, enjoyment, comedy etc. Might be a big bag or one quality catch, or just your mate falling in a stream! Come on folk, tell us the tale!

    The trouble is on some permissions they want everything killing, usually the equine places, forestry and the golf course, but these for me are the permissions you can get recommended from. The farms up our way are the ones were you get the sport as they aren't right bothered about a few rabbits. Getting the job done has been easy this year mate
