  1. Good Thread! I think its important to try and make best use of your quarry (providing its edible of course). Realistic food as well... none of the celebrity chef 'pinch on this, 3 fluid ounces of that' rubbish. Hell i may even be able to get the Mrs to cook something half decent!
  2. Better get Mulder and Skully on the case Just kiddin, good on you. Hope you got the bugger (assuming it is a fox )
  3. Must be very satisfying to see all your efforts begining to pay off. Following you journey with her makes me want to get one of my own Good stuff bud and keep it coming. Loco
  4. Sambo123... what are you doing exactly ? Going through all the old shooting threads and spouting shit about 'butchering' and 'slaughter' . Why don't you wind your neck in you pee wee f**k and stop trying to stir shit up. :protest:
  5. ... looks like Scottish countryside to me
  6. Sorry for not replying earlier... been out a couple of times in England and done a bit in NZ. Moved here relatively recently so still very few contacts up this end of the woods... i'd be pretty much starting from scratch too. Got to buy the rifle first .
  7. Davis2363... i'm not looking to cause any consternation here and i commend your pride / dedication on your dog/s :thumbs-up: . I shouldn't have called you ignorant as i don't know you... i apologise, it was out of order (same for Porky :thumbs-up: ). Quite rightly, as i don't have any dogs myself (yet) my comments in this section are a bit frickin ignorant themselves. I have a lot of respect for the dogging fraternity (especially those with a good sense of humour ) and have enjoyed many days out with them but don't appreciate it when it gets a slagging in favour of other methods. Like
  8. You ignorant f**k... like some people don't do both. Dave... obviously foxing with a rifle ain't your cup of tea either and you're passionate about using dogs... you're in it for the 'experience'. Fine. That much i can relate to... Everything else you wrote is blinkered bollocks.. i amazed that, as a dogman yourself who is "so MUCH more in tune with the ways of the countryside and indeed the wildlife than the average gunman" is so f*****g IGNORANT about other countryside pursuits. you are, however, missing a trick on a career opportunity (comedy circuit maybe?)... it was a good laugh.
  9. Fair doos bud... If someone new guy started laying waste to all and sundry on my permission i'd be pissed as well. Its too easy to get the wrong end of the stick on threads and have everything snowball into a massive hangbags session. Good Hunting mate... no bad feelings.
  10. Well... come on... don't leave us hanging... don't tell me the ink ran on your app and you have got the thumbs up for a .50 BMG.
  11. Hey bud... i'm looking at doing this some time in the future.. got a feeling that Weston-Super-Mare is the nearest place. Give the guys at the firearms licensing chaps a ring and the'll set you straight... here's a ling as well: http://www.bds.org.uk/
  12. fair doos bud... im not have a pop at the digging lads and appreciate that there is more graft involved :weight_lift2: (unless you ground the vehicle . IMHO if someone shoots that many foxs in a night there is obviously a population problem... this is where the 'sport' element kinda gets blurred in favour of 'control'.. which is obviously not quite so practical from a terrier mans perspective but a necessary evil. Anyway... by the sounds of it it's more a case of sour grapes...one occupied earth and two foxs shot... 'to late... to late will be the cry'. :guitar2:
  13. Not trying to have a spat with you mate ... Just think that to have a pop at someone who shares you permission is a little bit fecking hypocritical.. if you were on a day out digging, got one and seen another go to ground in another earth would you pass up on it saying.. i've had my sport and leave that for the rifle lads?
  14. Love the CCi TNT's... like you say they are terminal but don't go splat like the V-Max. Tried some 20gr cci gamepoints. Looking good on the headshots but maybe a bit too solid for body shots? Would be interested to hear peoples results.
  15. How dare someone else have any sport on land where you are not the only one with permission ... especially using a method that you do not personally condone . Unbelievable cheek...
  16. Just be patient chaps... he's a busy boy and the short wait is well worth it.
  17. ohhh yeah I've done a lot of research into this cal. (6.5 swede) and reccon it the muts nuts.... just saving at the moment for the beast itself.
  18. Its not that you're deemed irrisponsible... its that you have been 'associating with criminals'. Same thing happened to my old man who was in a fatal car accident
  19. Had my stuff vandalised when i used that method a few months ago (on private land )... don't think i'll bother again as patching the thing up afterwards was such a fag
  20. :welcomeani: You'll fit right in fancy shooting a flying fox
  21. I don't think NW was having a pop at you mate... just some threads need to be read two or three time to understand them. There is a time and a place for text talk and in ain't here.
  22. The .22 rimmy and LR are the same deal mate . Good cheep and accurate round out to -100 yards. Can be prone to richochets given the basic bullet type and relatively low velocity but, like all shooting, if in doubt don't f*****g fire ! The plus point of this is that if you fit a moderator and use subsonic ammo (Win super-x / cci subs / eley subs) you have a practically silent rabbit killing machine (nothing you can do about the WALLOP when you hit one mind ) They are fine for fox at sensible distances and with correct bullet placement. You can also get high velocity rounds like the CCI Veloc
