  1. Boiler room it mate. No chance of blowing the jaw off then and as long as you can you can group the size of a cox's apple (minimum) you'll take him down.

short drop... sudden stop and be rid of scum like this.
  3. Personally i wouldn't bother with that ratcher crap or any 'value hunting' package sold in the backs of magazines. Most of it is cheap chinese rubbish with bad triggers, seals, springs, sights etc. Personally i'd have a look at a reliable springer model... your should be able to pick up one for that money all be it in a 'well used' second hand condition (Weirarch, Air Arms, Theoban, webley, BSA) . Replacing the seal or a spring is a small cost and i bet it will out last a new chinese peice of shit!
  4. In than case mate how about a scope with an illuminated reticule or central dot You can find some pretty reasonable second hand ones out and about... nice head shot on that crow on the other thread by the way
  5. I've had a quote to get a 6.5 customised to a form of hybrid stalking / F class and it makes your eyes water a bit. I've got the quote back home and can get some some ball park figures for bedding, blue-printing etc. Mine is based on a remi 700 action and kreiger barrel but i can't see it being too different
  6. FOR SALE £45 inc postage .177 Cal, Spring action. Powerful. Used for plinking and dispatching corvoids in Larson trap. No rear sight (taken off... and lost to make way for dot sight.. also lost hence low price. Aside from this in good nic. Comes with half a tin of pellets. Please PM me if interested.
  7. Another lovely buck Good stuff bud
  8. Copper jacketed centerfire will leave a lot less residual crap in the barrell and you won't have a problem... if anything it will be old, claggy powder which will just come out by tapping on a table top (take the mod ob the rifle first though hey ). The .22 LR rounds are no way near as well put together and have flakey bits of copper wash shite clinging to them.

Nope... drop em from time to time
  10. I'd second the ASE Ultra... Used to have one on my 10/22. One word of warning... don't bother trying to clean them. They unscrew quite easily and you can see the washers all lined up. I'd been firing some copper washed high velocity rounds (with a view to upsetting a few fox's) and there was a bit of a build up of copper up in the mod. Fecking thing came appart easily enough but putting the buggers back in
  11. Location location location... Its a trciky one. I'd love to see more hares round my area but i appeaciate that in some areas a close season would be a fricken nightmare as the population is booming. I think a close season is a veiled threat of something more sinister but that may be my cynical side
  12. NO MATE when we went to woodwork/metal work classes they went to being CRABBIT classes I thought it was Home Economics where they stick a cake in the oven and while its burning teach you KGB interrigation and relationship sabotage techniques

    SUCH A SITE.

Frank its real men who show there softer side  maybe the other men on here will follow suit  Sod that... get those fulffy ones through the brambles
  14. I thought all you girls were taught knitting at finishing school If you can sit down with someone for just ten minutes you will pick it up no problem.
  15. Hey bud... My .17 HMR makes a fair old crack and the SAK does take the edge off it. Haven't heard them used on a centerfire (i'd have thought more volume would be needed to be effective) but it'll certainly save you a few bob if it works. Best of luck mate and happy shooting.
  16. Man... i feel like such a pussy after reading this thread.
  17. I think the .243 would have a more consistent velocity over 100 yrds
  18. If his wing is broken he is going to be really high maintenance even if he does pull through and get domesticated  Depends how much time you will have for him... Call me a skeptic What to do when you find a pigeon: http://www.pigeons.biz/forums/archive/index.php/t-9558.html Here is some info on how to fatten them up: http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/165797594SYYRWL ... and here is a possible serving suggestion http://teriskitchen.com/poultry/squab-a.html
  19. They are the nuts mate... if they can't help (unlikely) they will give you the details of someone who can
  20. The do look the bollocks don't they I use shell decoys purely because they are easier / more compact to carry but movement in the pattern is so important... anything your can get your hands on (bouncers, flappers, magnets etc) or improvise is worth it
