Nice shooting bud Nemo...Ethics shouldn't come into it, control is control... with no closed season its up to the stalker to make an informed and responsible decision on which beasts to take.

What qualifications do you need apart from being a C**T and a W****R. I hate baliffs ive got a suprise for the next one that visits my place, i cant wait to try it out. Cheers for that "mr cuban" The work I do is mainly corporate repossessions - cars, vans, business equipment etc - If they don't pay for it, its got to go back. I DON'T go knocking on peoples doors lifting their tv's etc, but I'd love to pay you a visit sometime. What I've learned in my game is that people who say they are going to do this and that are usually quiet as lambs face to face. It's the quiet ones who usually a

They are indeed mate Got a mini one attached to the side of my box as i couldn't carry the box, spade, nets, any catch AND one the size of Franks probe by myself (no smut please. ). Had my MK1 over 12 years with no probs... love it!
-
Thats a good result lads... all a decent size too . Was there much digging involved or any youngsters about?
-
Result! ... Just spoke to Frank Dyke(the importer [via Roger @ SSS]) and he said is is all to do with the magazine itself. The small lip between the breech and the bullet ramp (which i thought was the issue) allows the rim or the cartridge to sit flush against the breech. :stupid: The magazine is where the issue lies . The two small crimps that retain the round and prevent it from popping out were too close together. Although we're only talking about a fraction of an inch, its enough to hold the round slightly lower in the magazine and, if using a flatter tipped round like the TNT

Plucking, gutting and cooking???
Yokel Matt replied to Simoman's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
Piece of piss mate... sit on a chair with a bin between you legs to stop the feathers getting everywhere (or do it outside in a compost bit ect). short sharp plucking technique (pinch size clumps) away from the direction of feather lay until main body and legs are devoid of feathers. Cut the wings off close to the body as they are a waste of time. Singe over a gas hob to get the fluff off. Cut the head off, then cut along the back of the neck, stretch the skin back and tear the crop off and cut the neck off at the base. Stick your finger in the hole, hook it and rotate the bird to break the li -

I'm an expendable bitch to a capitalist machine. Behind a desk 7.30 - 6 ... Sick of this shit. .. drastic career change pending

I bet the room goes quiet and when you drop that into conversation in the pub
-
Thats a real shame... sorry to hear that bud... can't imagine how long that walk back must have felt for you. Better to have worked and lost than never worked...
-
Stoked with it bud I've turned my 100 yrd into a quick set and keep the 50 traditional. Just need soem permission with a few more bunnies closer to home! I've got to drive best part of 70 miles to get any coney May sound odd but i'd take some rubber gloves / marigolds with you as well for handling the line if you're handlining it in... that shit can be a bitch to grip and give you a nasty burn.
-
Good stuff bud... i'm all thumbs on a pc :thumbs-up: That one of you half way down a hole is definitely a keeper

Mackeral are cheap as chips (boom boom) and you can pick them up anywhere. They stay on the hook well because of the skin... nothing worse than getting nipped whislt carefully mounting a peeler only to have the bugger fall off as you cast. Always get a couple more that you think you'll need otherwise you'll be pulling limpits off rocks after a few hours.

I think i remember the thread and its a shame Poacher has been put off posting a much since... he had good stuff to share. The mods have to be a bit more careful with digging than ratting but thats only because of this stupid ban and their legal obligations but that that was not the problem. The problem was that a newbi made an observation based on the pics (not that there was anything wrong with the pics and it wasn't inflamitory or having a pop at Poacher... something like "looks like he had more than a look") and while poacher tried to clarify the pic the thread was immediatly clogged

Question from a simpleton......
Yokel Matt replied to Simoman's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Pick a number mate I've thought this before and people have sworn by 5's 6's and 7's. I use whatever is in my bag but if i was to go and buy some especially i'd get some fast 32g size 6's. -
:thumbs-up: Someone gave me this link the other day: http://www.ferreting.biz/Ferret/Tanning.htm Can't wait to give it a crack.
-
Nice stuff Fenbo Glad Charlie didn't get any points or i'd be straight down the surplus store getting stab-proof gloves, body armour and a MAC 10.
-
But the best thing I get for coneys and such is permission to shoot game when the season comes around. Always my preferred currency! Now THAT is a good one! Its suprising what doors a nice gesture or a little goodwill will open

Ok... I'm sure at one time or another we've all sold a rabbit to a butcher or taken some pigeons round the back of a restaurant for a few quid. But what about the times when, instead of cash changing hands, something else is given instead?? I did this quite a lot when i was a kid and had some funny old exchanges (sadly being called up to the bedroom of a MILF was not one of them) but it would be cool to hear other peoples stories. My top scores are probably quite rubbish but here they are anyway: 6 oven ready pigeons for 1 litre of Barcardi (lemon)... (I was 15 and didn't know a

I think there is quite a bit of leeway on the hook size as they have such a big gob. I agree on the peeler crab or maybe a strip of mackeral or sandeel... both basic but they also flash in the water which i think helps as bass are very inquisitive. I think the ragworms etc are better for the flatties but thats just me. Spearfishing is the way forward mate I get loads on the south Devob / Cornist coast in the spring / summer. :thumbs-up:

Had my mk 1 knocker box for best part of 12 years now and its great. No bells and whistles but you know where you stand with them. Dreding the day when it finally packs up. Its like an old friend.
-
I must have been lucky then... two hob bro's who never scrapped... maybe they were gay?
-
you dog men hey... Everyone knows that snaring or lamping them with a .223 police tactical is the most efficient and humane method of control.
