    Privi do both 90 grain and 100 grain soft points. Maybe try a box of each ? Some people find 100gr heavy in a 243 and won't stabilize as good as slightly lighter bullets so the 90s may be better. It's worth trying them out for sure. Theyre the only rounds I've used atm and have taken fox (which ran on a good 30 yards before stopping) and fallow (which dropped on the spot but was still alive) both with the privi 100 grain. On the fallow the bullet went straight through both shoulders well. I imagine it did the same for the fox and didn't expand quick enough hence it ran a bit before

    When was the last time you read/saw a bad review about any air rifle/shotgun/ rifle? no because if they slated anything they would not get paid/given guns and kit, Hatstands/escorts are cheap nasty rubbish.

    Lee hand press its all I use, brilliant bit of kit, and fits back in the box when you are done, get collet dies that size just the neck of ammo fired in your rifle, and get the factory crimp die as well, brilliant and only around a tenner.

    Try some Federal as well mate, plenty of reloading info on the web, get yourself a good re-loading manual too, it is not the dark art some make it out to be.

    As others have said, forget air rifles for shooting foxes, yes there are some that produce 500ftlb that would do the job @ 150 yards, but try asking your feo for one to shoot foxes the simple answer will be, apply for a .22 hornet,.222, .223,.22-250 etc sir, this question about .22 rf, comes up time and time again, my own force will not sanction ANY rimfire including .17hmr for fox, (although now the aolq condition is being used it contradicts what they say) a .22 rimmy will kill foxes cleanly with a shot to the brain, no question, and for the urban fox controller shooting from some persons b

    I bought a new .177 tempest in 1979, ive still have the box with price sticker on it £28:29.. Nowhere near as nice as my .22 senior though. Hmmmm Webley senior, real nice pistol, I would have one if one ever comes up at the right money, I nearly bought one(well my dad nearly bought me one) about 1978 I think, but ended up going for the BSA Scorpion pistol, shot loads of stuff with that.

    I will be very interested in an accuracy test, the 5.6 wasps in my .22 99s were amazingly consistent and accurate, 11.6 ftlbs, I have not tried the new ones yet, I now have the added pleasure of the scope on the 99 being knackered, it will print a tight 3-5 shot group, tap the scope turret and the group shifts 2-3 inches in any direction it feels like, but the rifle is settling down nicely now, very smooth, producing a nice 11.2 ftlbs with superdomes.
