  1. Me too even if my springer is in the wrong calibre IE .22
  2. WD40 motorcycle chain de-greaser, does a fantastic job not cheap, but very effective.
  3. Obviously not wishing to go into detail on an open forum, but if you been a good lad for a long time, now settled, family man,etc that will be taken into consideration, and will weigh heavily in your favour, dependant on what you did you stand a good chance if the police can see you as a reformed character PM me if you want Mac and I will give you an honest opinion mate.
  4. Fair enough Mac cant argue with that, when did you apply last?Assuming you have.
  5. The enrichment will make Ireland a much better place without doubt dont say we did not warn you.
  6. I think thats why i like the look of them lol atvbmac  Why not get a semi auto shotgun then Mac?
  7. I do wish they would chop the barrel and make it flush with the air cylinder, it would then look far less like an imitation semi auto shotgun, which is exactly what they have tried to replicate the look of.
  8. And yet anotherhttps://youtu.be/dVX7-n-4bsg peaceful carnival to remind us how well "diversity" is working.
  9. Whilst agreeing with Deker's above statements, I have to add that re-loading can be a lot of fun, to some even becoming almost a separate branch of the shooting sports, some, I would go so far as to say, find the shooting of the loaded round second place to actually constructing it,I reload, yes because I can produce cheaper ammunition, at a guess I would say I can produce superb ammunition tailored to my own rifle for perhaps a little less than the cost of Prvi ammunition, but for the shooting man on a rain and wind lashed winters evening, when even the most hardened would not venture out, sitt
  10. Privi brass is quite thick, very true, but be aware that a load worked up with thinner brass, can easily be over pressure in thicker case brass, so ALWAYS start at the bottom(lowest charge) and work up slowly.
  11. Mine took about 2 weeks I seem to remember.
  12. Yes me too mate, .243 rifle on the back seat that you could shoot someone at half a mile or more with,no concern but a poxy 4 inch lock knife and he starts to become aroused silly knob.
  13. Well that copper needs some re-training then, it is perfectly legal to carry a lock knife if you are going hunting/fishing, or I would suggest camping also, as it is a fixed blade knife, however as others have said, if you had it with you when you take the kids swimming or in the park, then you have no reasonable excuse, the only knife you are permitted to carry in public, without an excuse is a folding knife (pen knife) with no locking blade, and a blade length of less than 3 inches, however take it to a football match, and it could still be regarded as an offensive weapon.
  14. All good advice, if you go down the springer route(which is a bloody good route) I would seriously consider a tuned one, the difference between an out of the box Weihrauch and a nicely tuned one will stagger you, in your budget I would consider a Sandwell field sports tuned rifle, maybe an Imp hw99s £375.00 or if you fancy something a bit bigger, and in the best .177 calibre then maybe the hw95 or 77/97 have a look at some of the vermin hunters tv stuff on sfs tuned rifles to see how good they are, whatever you choose, enjoy, and good hunting
  15. It can, but is is so much better without it imho.
  16. The cost of the gun dont matter a jot, but it MUST fit you, or you will hit nowt.
  17. Yes mate from the states, just google Boyds custom stocks.
  18. No problem mate, I rate them very highly, I was on the verge of glass bedding mine before the Boyds stock, it freefloated the barrel, and was such a good fit accuracy was improved at once, they have two steel pins running through them that seems to add tremendous stiffness, I got the sporter laminate stock, cost to my door was about £130.00 if memory serves.
  19. No I prefer to just de-grease, and give it a damn good clean out, they usually look pretty good so I dont bother, having said that I cant see it doing any harm if you want to do it.
  20. Spot on, I have a Weatherby vanguard (same rifle) in .243 Boyds custom stock, trigger tune, it will print ragged one hole groups @100 yards with handloads, I dont know about the .223 but they dont seem too ammo fussy, good choice.
  21. Yep no top hat as standard, take your time sizing your vortek seal mate, a little at a time, until its a nice fit that slides up the cylinder with a bit of pressure, they are brilliant, make a massive difference, I will put one on every Weihrauch I tune from now on
