Entry 12G Shot Gun Advice
charlie caller replied to prohunter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
One that fits you, I have said this before a hundred times, a £75,000 Purdey will be useless compared to a £200 Baikal if the former does not fit and the latter does, so in short, dont worry too much about price/name, make sure you go to a reputable gun dealer who knows his stuff, explain that you are new to the sport, and you would like to find something reasonably priced, but emphasise you will not be buying on a whim, I cannot stress enough the importance of correct gun fit, if you do find a bargain, that looks fantastic but does not fit properly, gently negotiate having the gun altered to fi -
Normal ones are not very good in mine, but the field target 5.53 version, spot on
-
Try some Webley accupell field target 5.53, brilliant in mine and returning a consistent 11.7 ftlbs, very accurate.

charlie caller replied to nans pat's topic in General Talk
Well posted mate, I would like to say it makes me hate the spineless little cu*t even more, but sadly that is not possible, its the same as that wan*er May having the deer shot on his land a couple of years ago, his justification? "to deter poachers" these people are a waste of oxygen, they should be removed from the gene pool. -
Some real monsters this year jam and b&a crumble all round.

Yes between him and that fu*king walking wig Brian May, it is difficult to imagine disliking anyone more. -
So all the hundreds of posts on here about muslims this and islam that...no one can tell me whats in that black shed they all walk round at mecca???...cant really be haribos can it? You were right in your first post, it's a piece of meteorite supposedly placed there by Abraham So not empty Who knows? Don't think anyone is allowed to look inside But the meteorite is the official story. Think neems was pulling your leg, Muhammed is buried in Medina And what about his children brides, are they all with him?

Is he now, the vile little cu*t, hope he finds a nice deep peat bog. -
It would also be illegal to release an alien species once captured, irrespective of the legalities of trapping it initially, that assumes you would release it of course, can you not make/find an elevated shooting position, and slot it with the rifle?

And also, do we pick mushrooms in feb?I think not its rather annoying, but the cameras do that when you change batteries.

133 Yards Head Shot With And Air Rifle
charlie caller replied to AirGunnerSA's topic in Hunting Video Clips
Well done, headshots aside, I dont know what ftlbs energy your pellet would retain at 133 yards, however small doves are not exactly hard to kill with a body shot, so even if the shot had gone low, in all probability that would have been a dead dove, your rifle is doing 31ftlbs, and there are plenty who boast about shooting rabbits @ 60 yards with a 12ftlbs rifle,so without being all pedantic and too technical, your rifle is producing almost 3 times the power@ just over twice the range, of the man shooting at a rabbit with his sub 12 ftlbs rifle,I am not knocking the guys who do it, far from i -
There should be no charge mate,I would speak to plod and mention the swapping calibres, and ask them about the land, just because you have an open ticket with .223 and .17 does not automatically mean you will have with a .243, you more than likely will, but it is not set in stone,I would imagine if your land is passed for .243 or above it will be no problem, but if previously you only had land passed for .223 they will want to see proof that you have land passed for the bigger calibre, best thing you can do is speak to them.

Hopeful Air Rifle Hunting Enthusiast
charlie caller replied to LukeAir90's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Well all I can say to that is I have no experience of Hatstand spring rifles whatsoever, and have, I might add not the slightest wish to, but and it is a big but, if Hatstand air rifles are anything like their semi auto shotguns, then a fu*king hatstand is all they are fit for, they are dreadful. -
Pm sent.

Hopeful Air Rifle Hunting Enthusiast
charlie caller replied to LukeAir90's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I will echo all the previous comments, dont buy some cheap crap springer as your first rifle, it will both frustrate and annoy you, and will put you off spring rifles, again buy something decent second hand, with either German or English provenance, all the Weihrauch range are good solid accurate rifles that will last a lifetime, as Pianoman says try a few for size, and one that feels right to you will fit the bill nicely, if you can afford it, try and find a tuned version of the rifle you liked the best, or have it tuned, it really does make a massive difference, oh and one last thing, get it -
Biased leftard scum.

Problem with the hells angels is to get in you have to shit in your pants and wear them for a week Then you have to let the top lads shag your lass all 8 of them Really, I must know the wrong kind of angels then

Good advice and bigger is deffo better where males are concerned, I flew a little male, lamping mainly, he would catch hold of rabbit after rabbit, but lose a lot, especially big buck rabbits, and I had to pull him out of many a rabbit hole after being dragged down, it did make me a little frustrated to say the least, now I fly a male redtail, so dont have that problem any more

Very Poor And Conflicting Advice
charlie caller replied to Die Judicii's topic in Night Vision & Thermal
That is very poor indeed mate, name and shame -
To be honest Mac/ Lads i wouldn`t bother too much over a shotgun. I`ve owned shotguns for over 35 years but "always" prefer to use airguns,- much more skill and field craft involved . Out in the field with the shotgun and "BOOM" !!! - the fields go empty. With the air rifle, nobody knows you are there, silently waiting , but saying that shotguns certainly have their uses. I know where you are coming from mate, but dont quite agree with the "more skill and fieldcraft" statement, shooting a cock pheasant doing 35mph curling in the wind, requires not a small amount of skill

Beginners Or Professional Always Go Pcp
charlie caller replied to downsview's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I think the op should buy a shotgun, then "all that crap" will be irrelevant, just point and shoot
