Which is why converting a 850 air magnum to hpa is a better bet, and is a piece of cake to tune to 11.5 ftlbs or fac levels if you have it on ticket.

Talking Of Air Rifles......(Salad Days)
charlie caller replied to Rimfireboy!'s topic in General Airgun Discussion
On a slightly different tac, anyone got a cheap scope they want to part with, 3-9x40 md or similar, just discovered the scope on the 99s is goosed, dont have to be anything fancy, so long as it holds zero, cant believe it I just gave a mint ags 6-40 gen 5 md away to a mate, and now I find the bloody 99s scope is shagged typical, if you got owt lying around lads let me know, cheers. -

Yes but Mac once they have mastered a .177 and seen the results,IE a full game bag, then a .22 would seem very sluggish and ordinary in comparison (says the man who has just bought and tuned a .22 99s) but I will be getting a .177 barrel for it, as soon as I re-realise how crap .22 is -
Complete leftard liberal scum, as said anti hunting, and another one that cant wait to open the floodgates to the flotsam and jetsam of the turd world, very dangerous like the traitor Blair.

Talking Of Air Rifles......(Salad Days)

I shot my first rabbit aged 13 with a Crosman .22 pump pistol that my dad bought from a mate at work, I remember it as if it was yesterday, about 20 yards away across a bank, shot him in the neck and down he went, I was prouder than any deer stalker shooting his first stag I used to take that pistol everywhere in my little rucksack, I am sure that thing was doing more power than it should have, as I dropped all sorts with it, I really was hardly ever in the house, then I got a BSA Mercury, and sold the pistol, even after all these years, using section one firearms, foxing, deer stalking, and -

Heart/ Lung Shots With .22 Cal V .177 Cal On Wood Pigeons.
charlie caller replied to mark williams's topic in Airgun Hunting
I have mentioned this before, over the years I have seen countless woodys fly of after a side on hit with a .22 even fac .22, I have however shot hundreds with the same shot in .177 that have folded and dropped stone dead to the deck, now my personal limit with a sub 12 air rifle is 40 yards, however, a few weeks ago my mate took a shot at a woody with his .22 pcp (Titan) for some reason his scope was off (he is an excellent shot) and he winged it, it flew into a tree a long way off, but as I cant stand to see anything suffer, and trying to approach any closer could have caused it to fly again -
Heres mine and thats how I feel everytime I ride it.

charlie caller replied to Rimfireboy!'s topic in General Airgun Discussion
Nice read, could have been me writing that my very first rifle was a Webley mk111 that was far too big for me at 8 years old,I remember the happy carefree days when we used to wander for miles with the air rifles, nobody bothered so long as you did no harm and stuck to squirrels.rabbits, pigeons etc, I feel sad for lads now, as I think I am probably from the last generation to have known such freedom and oh yes the tuned BSF b55 I had what a rifle, I regret selling (or as I seem to remember swapping it for a Sharp innova) that rifle, happy days, now long passed but i will always remember them -

Oh what a terrible group concentrate on uniform case and powder weights, if your rifle is shooting like that @ 100 yards leave well alone, concentrate on finding enough foxes to shoot -

Nice one, when will people realise, when asking for permission, turning up looking like a paramilitary will usually end in a polite fu*k off not being funny but to turn up with his gun under his arm, your mate must be really SPECIAL, it must have frightened the old dear to death, not to mention the armed trespass he just committed

Well when you strip it down mate, look at the piston seal very carefully, mine was great when I first put it together, and then started to lose power dramatically, when I first stripped it, I noticed some small bits of turnings/fash embedded in the seal and chose to ignore it,MISTAKE I have now fitted a Vortek seal, oh my what a difference, I have had to take a preload washer out to keep it under 12fpe, I cant speak highly enough of these seals, you have to size them to your cylinder, but 20 minutes with a drill and some 1000 grit, and then 2000 grit to finish, gets it sized properly, so my

Does it mention how many of the 700,000 are sex workers? I wonder if they will be striking too

Enjoyed seeing those pellets, wow, a proper blast from the past, the 99s do seem to like the shorter lighter pellets especially in .22 up to now mine shoots best with Webley accupel field target, it really is the most accurate springer I have ever shot, my .177 Cometa Lynx is super accurate with Bisley magnums, yes the 99 is a little harder to shoot/keep on target, but not much, I have seen plenty of pcps that wont group like this will
