    Well go for it then , but i will stick to my comment , You do not have a chance ,some people do want good meat but more do not ,the masses want cheap meat and a small Butcher cannot compete because of overheads and the buying power of supermarkets, i used to sell Rabbits to six local Butchers with good Footfall and sons coming up to take over the shops they all shut because they could not compete , i wish you well in you're venture but i think you are a dreamer and will go skint.

    You do not have a chance mate, butchers shops are closing down everywhere they cannot compete with the super markets on price , there are some good butchers shops around but they have Niche Markets and you will not take their custom. Stick to what you know .

    It is not some thing i like to talk about but as i had prior knowledge i was able to take preventive action before i went in so my pack of sanitized Tissue was not required .

    I have been around 14 stone since i was seventeen i rarely eat fried food and i think i live a clean life, i am almost seventy and still very fit , when you reach 55 you will start being asked to take medical tests these will increase as you get older the worst test to have is the one for Prostrate problems , i was quite worried about this because it is very common for men over 50 to Ejaculate several times .

    Many years ago i was at school with a lad who went on to become famous Racing Driver, his Dad had built him a rough track in one of his fields and every night a gang of us would have Bike races on it or Time Trials as Roger liked to call it, one night two lads turned up who were a bit older spoiled our game and pushed us around , this went on for a while until no one turned up to race , Rogers Dad who was called, Dodge, made inquiries then collared me and Roger and told us that we had to stand up for ourselves and gave us a bit of advice .     My Wife always does a couple of Jars for Boxing day , she uses Vinegar that has been used once before with Shallots , i find it Sweet and Spicey and much less tart than fresh Liquor and are ready in two weeks though you can keep them as long as you want

    The Fenn trap has plenty of killing power but is applied to the wrong area , it is a Jack of all Trades but Master of none, i think all traps should be designed as species specific .

    In my opinion they have always been wrong they are a glorified Rat trap and that is about it, Ferrets , Rabbits,Squirrels are constantly not killed in the allotted in time and more often than not killed at all , they are rubbish and expensive rubbish as well.

    I had a very good lamping Bitch she was 22 inch Beddy x Grey very soft mouthed with rabbits and very biddable her only fault was that she was a b*****d with Foxes , the dog used kill any she caught , i don't know why and never encouraged it .

    I picked these last week some people would call them wood Blewits but they were in open pasture, this is a very good place for Blewys and i have picked over a hundredweight here a few times, they are always a deep Mauve and the can get very big and still retain there color also they keep well , i know a few places where this type grow and it is never in woods .My sister likesthese because the have a low water content and are easier to preserve.

    In the 60s i was driving through a village in the Vale of Belvoir and came across six rabbits in about thirty yards of road ,i stopped and picked them all up and i wondered for years why the were there then in the 80s me and a mate were shooting from the roadside got spotted by the law , we shot offand on the second bend i threw the Rifle out further up the road i threw some Hares out too and in an instant i knew how those rabbits got there, a couple of minutes later the cops had turned around and caught up with us , my mate got done for car related things and i got glared at , if we

    In the colder weather it is better to allow your rabbits too cool down before you drain and gut them

    The easyist way is to ask them to put a picture up , listen to there excuses then call them a liar , theythen will say that they are leaving and ask to contact a mod , at that point you will be kicked off.

    Apart from Onions and Red Cabbage ,and Piccalily this year we have done some Blewits, those six small bottles started life as 20lb of fruit and a 1lb of Butter. They were cooked dry on the hob till they would reduce no more then fried in Butter, pressed into bottles then topped up with Olive oil ,the liquor was saved for stock

    I think that they be too expensive to be effective in the numbers required on a large estate another thing is that the stoat is already in the trap ,so why not just shut a door.

    A lot of peoples contributions are sorely missed , the Forum is going downhill fast , there are very few hunting pictures and write ups posted now, the people seem to focus on Muslims ,Homosexuals Drugs, and other topics that have no connection to Hunting, Ten years ago you could pass hours away arguing good naturedly on the Ferreting /Lamping / Trapping sections and even the General talk was good and usually informative, i think some of the hunting folk would come back if a few of the racist idiots left
