    i have personally found this to be true over the last 5 years. i have owned 4 polecats and none of them have been my cup of tea. had a two year old jill that was tame in the hutch at then onece down a hole would try and take your finger off. similar situation with the two kits i kept out of her. i have had 8 albinos over the past 5 years and 5 have made the grade. i personally now only work albinos, however i do believe their are bad ones and good ones in every breed every breed??? a ferret is a ferret, albinos and brown ferrets aren't different breeds?? working abilities and temperamen

    Ball ache of a session yesterday.....checked first two warrens that normally hold a few, nothing in either. Positive mark on a two holer, I've ferreted this one loads of times and even though it's only two holes it's like a big circle, so if you put one ferret down the rabbit(s) tend to give it the run around, if you enter two they trap the rabbits in the middle and you end up with a dig. So I put one of my jills down and settle down for a brew, sure enough she gets the run around for a good 20 minutes plus but sticks to it and in the end I bag a nice buck.     not everyone is like that tho so you cant just say that and it is most probably less than 99% and my mate who wants the huskie does alot of running so im sure that the dog will get a good amount of exercise I can say that, and I bet if it was possible to do a survey like that the figure wouldn't be far off 99%, same with border collies that end up in pet homes.....and I can assure you, he might be the most obsessed runner on the planet but he ain't going to run far enough to tire out a husky!

    I started with a mk3, had one for a couple of years. Then tried the mk1, loved the simplicity so have stuck to that. IMO, you need something that is going to show you where the ferret is and how deep....and that's it! you need that and nothing more so I don't see why you'd need to improve on that, it's adding features for the sake of adding features if you ask me. Plus, I prefer the clicking sound to the horrible bleeping. I'll be sticking to the mk1 for as long as possible, the only time I'd get a newer on is if they make one that's exactly like the mk1 but waterproof, then I'd upgrad

    some dogs should be banned from pet homes IMO....huskies being one of them. I used to know this chavvy girl who had a staffie, got rid of it because she didn't have the time to exercise it properly. Literally 5 days later she bought a huskie :blink: I nearly fell through the floor when she told me! And even more astonishingly when I pointed out that they'll need loads more exercise than a staff, her solution was to get another one so they play together in the garden and burn off energy!!!! In the end, they broke the fence down and escaped never to be seen again.....staggering!!

    honest post mate, prob for me getting another 2nd dog .My pup ok never going to be like Bryn regards catching rabbits, but Bryn hard act to follow for (any) lurcher really, and my pup seems bit on the sensitve side might be his age 6 months old, or his temp coming through, you got to treat him really with kid gloves ,or its no good. No i think prob its my age 60 now, that maybe i should have finished with Bryn, as working a lurcher (proper) i think you got to fit+ young to give and get the best out of them, not saying you got to be 20 years old lol , but the older you get it does get harder

    I cracked a molar the year before last and boy is that painful, to the point where you're nearly passing out! You can get this stuff that's like super strong bonjella for adults, it gets rid of the pain instantly, orajel it's called. Seriously recommend that mate. I got it from Sainsburys but I'm sure Tesco, Boots etc. will sell it.
