  1. what's he off school with? RSI? I'm glad I didn't have access to vids like that as a young boy, it'd have been like setting a fire extinguisher off in my bedroom!!!!!
  2. Didn't know that about boiled bones being fine, I though it was just any cooked bones were a no no. So are boiled chicken bones OK aswell?
  3. I've been to Sark a couple of times and spent most of the time spinning off the rocks, loads of wrasse and beautiful scenery, I could have stayed there for months! great little fighters on light tackle!
  4. True, the time we had to wait for the ferret, it was in a hole under a hedge in a steep mound, i would not have wanted to dig it. But i must have checked around for other holes/ the ferret every five minutes whilst waiting hours, the peace of mind would have been good. Can afford one and ive got until September or later to buy one. Keeping an eye on that other thread about someone planning on making a batch of Mk1 copies. Got until September or later to see if i can find a good deal. Could populate a PCB myself if i had one to copy. But then id be stuck at the plastic case/cover. they
  5. that's the way of the world unfortunately, shite! you've got to have everything locked down these days!
  6. Jesus! some women are truly feckin mental!!! bin her off cos she sounds like a complete loon.......make sure she ain't near the knife drawer when you tell her though!! I agree with Rubytex, she's clearly trying to prove some stupid point and the longer you're with her the worse she's going to get...........and you can take that from someone who used to be married to one just like that!!
  7. Where did it happen btw?
  8. absolute scum!! have they taken anything else or just his hunting stuff? At least they didn't nick his stinkers I suppose!
  9. other thing to note re. locators, if you enter your ferret somewhere where you can't dig for whatever reason, they give you the peace of mind that your ferret is still there and hasn't slipped away unnoticed. You can also determine whether or not the ferret is still moving around etc. I know they're quite expensive, but stick a fiver a week in a tin starting now and by the time the season starts again you'd be able to get yourself a mk1 with a collar off ebay
  10. TC (I've used my (pointless) 'likes' quota apparently)
  11. some power in them first two pal!!
  12. I disagree re. the death penalty, 40 years in a 6ft x 6ft cell with absolutely nothing but a seat and a bucket in it would be far far worse, but as we all know our silly friends at the human rights courts will make sure nothing truly harsh happens to him unless some careless prison guard 'accidently' lets another inmate at him
  13. the odd one or two here and there won't do any harm, nice work
  14. You can see why women are reluctant to come forward with things though can't you, as soon as I hear something like this or those stories about footballers in hotel rooms, my automatic reaction is she was a slag, regretted it and made up the whole rape story. That's why when a woman is proven to be making it up they should throw the book at them, might stop some of these story tellers making it hard for actual victims then!
  15. an alarmingly low percentage I would guess!
  16. I just don't get how they would prove it from that long ago.

fox stuck in shed, what do the RSPCA do.....send someone round, lasso the fox, put in cage, take back to vets, sedate it, find out there's nothing wrong with it, release it 1 hr later while it's still groggy!!! (i.e. traumatise the fox and then put it at risk when releasing) what would a normal person do.....open the fookin shed and let it out!!!!

  20. depends what you're doing IMO, can't think of anything worse than mooching about during the day with a dog that will only do what you tell it to do. I've got a decent balance with my dog, she'll do what's expected when lamping, and will follow instructions (when needed) when ferreting, but will hunt up when mooching during the day. I could take mine out mooching now and can honestly say we could be out for 2 hours plus and I wouldn't need to open my mouth. They're better at finding prey than us, so a dog that constantly waits for instructions would just be a pain in the ass.
