Exactly....all he did was ask a question, he got a sensible answer or two, and then gets the same answer another 42 times!

would trotting them alongside a bike help improve their feet? I'm not saying they'd make bad feet good, but wouldn't it help?

all joking aside, I'm not a superstitious person....but I took my dogs out before work a couple of years ago and came across a horse shoe on the floor, decided to take it home and clean it up. When I got home from work my old dog was stood in the kitchen and was proper wobbly on his feet. Took him straight to the vet and to cut a long story short he ended up dying within a few days of kidney failure. Highly likely it's just a coincidence, but that horse shoe got taken straight back to that field and I'll never pick one up again! If I were you, with the luck you're having at the moment,

if the pond has been there for years and there's nothing in it then there will be a reason for that, maybe lack of oxygen, or it might be too small/shallow/clear for the fish to evade predators such as herons etc. As has been said though, there could very well be fish in it and you don't realise. I've just moved house and there's a knackered old pond in the garden that is no more than 1 meter deep because the lining has split. I was just about to break it up but ran a landing net through it just to double check there was nothing in it....three small koi carp, literally about 25 newts an

There's a catapult sub-section in the DIY section on here pal, you might have more luck if you try putting it on there. I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as the forks are strong enough

try and find someone nearby with a young dog, meet them and let them play and chase each other round for a bit...if it'll fetch get it swimming until it's old enough to do some decent running. Puppies are hyper and a bit destructive, mine chewed through wires on baby monitor, laptop, electric radiator, ripped a role of selotape into a million pieces and ripped my mrs' expensive leather boots to shreds...oh how she laughed

interesting vixen very interesting Dont know about interesting, but just part of everyday life on the great big world of the internet, i can't believe how some people are still naive to the fact that ANYTHING can be accessed on the internet by the powers that be fine line between naive and thick as pig shit!

This thread is a bit odd to be honest.....if your THAT paranoid about security and privacy, don't go on the internet because there's nowhere that is completely 100% safe and secure. As for the people that are stressing about people gaining access to PMs, the vast majority of people on here are just a username, they could literally be anyone....a copper could have a lurcher and do a bit of ferreting/rabbiting, so be able to put pics up of dogs/ferrets/hunting, but it doesn't mean they won't also be trying to catch people out, which lets face it, wouldn't be hard on here!!! So pm'ing something

Fair enough, I just thought the thing about showing him what he missed out on was quite funny....reminded me a bit of supernanny!! They need to get used to their owner, it's as simply as that. Flicking noses, shouting etc. is just going to scare the ferret. Forgot to mention in my last post, I don't agree with wearing gloves to handle them either....if you're too scared to hold them with your bare hands you shouldn't own a ferret, and when wearing gloves they're not going to get used to your scent. The only situation I can think of where it might be necessary is when you have a hu

loads of handling, it can sometimes take 2 or 3 weeks of daily handling before they get used to you. Spit on the back of your hand and let it lick it off (with a clenched fist so it can't get a grip of you), so it gets used to your scent. I wouldn't recommend flicking the ferret on the nose, it's just not necessary.
