  1. Try this http://www.basc.org.uk/en/codes-of-practice/wildfowling.cfm Regards
  2. I think you will find it needs to state deer on the condition to be able to use it on said species. Better safe then sorry eh?
  3. You need to try different loads to see what suits your rifle the best, I would suggest try a 50-55 gr and take it from there. If your are home loading you have much better scope for a suitable round, that's the reason I'm starting to get into home loading.
  4. Nice one, 99 that takes some doing, what's your biggest fox total in 1 season?
  5. hi mate,we can go everyday coz we're all sponger's and all you tax payer's pay for us to go shooting.that remind's me,id better get our lass up the duff again, another £70 a week for cartridges!!!!!!!! lol....... That's cleared that up then. At least it's good to know that's the way you feel about your fellow sportsmen........
  6. Firstly tradition, on some shoots even an over and under is frowned upon and only a side by side would do. Secondly is safety, your walking round with 8-10 guns + beaters and you are unable to break the gun to show it is safe, this to me is the primary reason, it doesn't mean you aren't a safe shooter and yes you can put it in a slip etc etc but other guns don't feel as safe if the gun isn't broken. I've even been on clay shoots where they want semi autos sleeved unless they are on a stand... I have a semi auto and an over and under, I wouldn't want to take my semi on a driven shoot fo
  7. I have a 10/22, a mate of mine has a an Anchutz, in terms of accuracy I would say his Anshutz has it when we are talking shots out to 100 yards. That's not to say the 10/22 won't hit the target at that distance it's just his will group better. BUT I'm not a target shooter where I benifit is if there are three rabbits in a field close to each other I have much more of a chance at bagging 2 maybe 3 of them to his 1. Yes I suffer from the occasional jam but this is only the case getting stuck in the sliding bolt on ejection it's just a simple case of pulling back letting it fall out. I have n
  8. Yes you can that's exactly what I did, never had a lesson. I bought a simple chord book and learned A,B,C,D,E,F and G these a played until I was able to change easily between them, then bought a book of simple songs and progressed from there onto minor chords and sevenths etc etc. I was a teenager at the time and my parents were put through audio hell but it was well worth it in the end. My son is now learning at 9 and it brings back many memories of blisters on fingers ha ha.
  9. Yeah mate each time I go to the pump to fill up my car, worse than scammed more like bent over the bonnet and rammed up the f*****g starfish. And each time I open my wage slip to see how much the tax mans taken off me so he can provide beer tokens to the ones who can't be arsed to work....
  10. Benelli is definately my choice (have heard good things about Winchesters maybe worth a look) Do yourself a favour to avoid disappointment DO NOT go down the Hatstand route.
  11. No I don't own one but by all accounts you wouldn't be disappointed, they appear to be a very nice rifle from the reviews I've read.
  12. The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats from Iran and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Brits have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when Custard Cream supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off"
  13. Or buy a Benelli and not have to worry about what case you put in it.........
  14. If they ride a horse and in mean PROPER ride a horse (not walk round on the road with a high vis vest on once every 6 months) you will never ever go wrong.... Also Marilyn Monroe wa supposedly a size 14
  15. If you have a criminal record as long as your arm with violence and disorder running through it then it's unlikely you will be trusted with a fire arm and rightly so in my opinion. If however you have a couple of cautions for something daft you did as a lad 10 years ago you will be fine. At the end of the day it's down to your FAO to make that decision, with the best will in the world we can only guess what the outcome would be, get in touch with your local firearms officer and take it from there..
  16. I had this discussion with basc regarding a .22 hornet and fox is covered under vermin. Certain police forces have made this condition on your ticket up and tell you that it has to say fox, if they decided to take you to court for shooting a fox because your ticket only says vermin the first thing they would have to do is define the meaning of the word vermin, a fox is vermin, it would be thrown straight out of court. I aren't saying a 22 rimmy is suitable for fox, but it could be capable with the correct person pulling the trigger within a suitable range. Yep I hear what your saying b
  17. Can't wait till 28th this month Closer to the Edge is released on video....google it!
  18. Do not shoot foxes with a .22 rf unless at close range. What ever people say it is just NOT a suitable calibre for fox, there is far more chance of wounding the fox and much better calibre's out there suited to the job. Also check the wording on the firearms cert does the .22 section give permission for fox?
  19. Several years ago me and a couple of mates were out on Wigtown Bay for morning flight, to the right of us three other guys were setting out decoys etc and getting ready. Dawn breaks and a huge skein of geese come over 30 yards up and fly straight over lads to our right heading our way. Not a shot is fired from these lads, I'm thinking they MUST have seen them. Anyway the geese reach us and we have a go one of our lads brings one down and the three guys to our right open up and get a couple. After the flights over we wqner over for a chat like you do, and I say "I thought for one minute
  20. The wife walked in last night and asked me what I was doing on the Internet I told her I was just looking for some cheap flights "I love you" she shouted all excited in-zipped my fly and gave me an amazing blow job This was all a bit odd really as she's never shown an interest in darts before...
