Not to mention that trying to avoid paying import duty is a crime so I assume if anyone is talking about sending it to themselves as a gift or warranty repair they are talking hypothetically? There was a guy on another forum who sent his Leuopold scope back to the states for a genuine repair, when it came back he had to pay the duty on it which clearly he was unhappy about but they said if he can produce a receipt of purchase they would exempt the payment. Just goes to show these guys aren't stupid and have seen more ways of trying to avoid the duty then most people can come up with.

Very commendable to go most weekends but I've been so many times over the years unless you just enjoy the scenery I find it's much better to wait for the right conditions tide, weather,etc. If you do see them arrive as the original post maybe you can share with the rest of us.? atb seeker

Shoot down near Gedney Could be the odd one crossing there....You`ll never know, until ya get yer arse out there... Been twice already for morning + evening flight, not a bird in sight (odd mallard yards up) 5 hour round trip to get there and back for me hence the reason for the question...... Need more down there than the odd one, when the pinks arrive that's the time to go, here is a video I took last season.

Makes me laugh the way some people go on forums thinking that because they're on the Internet they are invisible and can say literally anything they want. I have no doubt the police would know exactly where and from whom the posts are coming from if they wanted to look. As for how they would make a certain crime stick I don't know but after all that's their job.

It all seems very odd to me, the facts as i see it are a) the travellers own the site which they purchased they didnt have permission for permenant residency c) they were ALL offered accommodation by the council to move off the site. Why did we get to a global media frenzy of eviction with people chaining themselves to anything saying they will die before leaving.. Also why did the council allow this to be there for 10 years, surley this should have been dealt within 10 weeks and nipped in the bud, hopefully lesson will be learnt

This is a genuine question, A council spokesman said they had offered all the travellers a council house to get them to move off the land to avoid the eviction but the travellers refused as they said its against their rights as they are a travelling community and it go's against their beliefs and their rights to travel. The question I have is why were most of the homes permanent if they are a travelling community, when do they travel? Many of the children were born on the site and are now 10-12 years old?
