Is cutting something jugular vein etc, any slower than shooting it in the head with a bolt gun, in reality? Or is it just that it's messier? The answer is which way would you rather go shot in the head or to have your throat cut. Mine would be the former..... People aren't bred for slaughter though, so that's a bit irrelevant IMO mate.. Neither way is pleasant but the result is exactly the same.. Agreed however the topic has gone onto the most humane way to kill and in particular narrowed to two options captive bolt (shot) or throat severed, if we are to look at the most

Is it legal for me to use a Chinese burn on muntjac as I think a wedgie is excessive, I checked with the FAO but I couldnt get a clear answer -
Another tip it's hard but remain hidden till the last moment possible, especially on the marsh its hard to get in a good shooting position as they will see you and bugger off 100 yards to your left or right. Wait till they are nearly on you then take your shot. It's really challenging as you don't get many chances when wildfowling and even now after many years I still get a huge blood rush when the're coming towards me. Also if you are going to use a goose call really spend time and learn to use it, some good DVDs available and clips on you tube, don't make the mistake of blowing away like

Her husband is a soilder?........with access to weapons?.........And he has no reason to belive she isnt telling the truth? ..........I hope hes not serving antwhere near our troops

Agreed the dog walker should have called the Police if he was concerned and was unable to alert the owner. He should not have taken the weapon. One thing the report says he got fined £750.00 but does not say if he had his licence revoked?

another person who does not live in reality...... the queen is from GERMAN,,,descent ..... I can assure you I live in perfect reality, I'm well aware of their German ancestry and of the history of my country. The fact they changed their name is irrelevant they still we're the head of the country that fought and defeated the Germans in 1914 and again in 1939 against nazism, they could have fled to Canada and in fact were encouraged to do so many times by the government but chose to stay not only in the country but also at the heart of London which was heavily attacked. Which reminds

FFS the amount of times I read posts on here complaining about immigration, lack of society, no morals or community spirit, Muslims taking over etc etc etc. This weekend our queen celebrates her diamond jubilee as ruler of this country BRITAIN get a grip fly the flag. Now this monarch may not have the power of her ancestors but it still is one of the last traditional British institutions we have. To be honest I wouldnt want her job or the job of any of the immediate family, you couldn't fart without it being reported who would want to live locked up in that world that they do no matter how m

Schmidt Bender 8x56 or 6x42?
The Seeker replied to Helmuthunter's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
I've a S&B 8x56 on my .223 the clarity and light gathering is amazing, cant comment on the 6x42 but you can't go wrong with a quality scope such as these. -
No I wouldn't it's illegal and apart fom anything else other than a perfect head shot is likely to injure the animal, Surely if you are a FAC holder you must know this already?

THE TAX SYSTEM EXPLAINED IN BEER Suppose that once a week, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to £100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this.. The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay £1. The sixth would pay £3. The seventh would pay £7. The eighth would pay £12. The ninth would pay £18. And the tenth man (the richest) would pay £59. So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every week and seemed quite happy with the arrangement until, one day, the owner c

Unless the French decide to arm them again. Did you know in the Falklands war there were civilian French engineers in Argentinia readying the Exocet (French) missile to be launched from the Super Etendard (French) aircraft even though the French Govt had issued an arms embargo? It may still yet kick off if oil is found nearby which they think is the case, as Argentina is practically skint.

Trading In the .22 for a HMR
The Seeker replied to whippeter69's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
At least you're keeping the .22 Now you'll just have decision paralysis about which one to take out, then regretting whichever decision you make From my own experience I had a .22 and sold it to buy a singing and dancing Anchutz HMR having being whooed but all the tales of 200 meter headshots, flat shooting and non-ricochet safety. I have long since swapped back to a .22 and never looked back. The problem is when you think about shooting the HMR you imagine a lining up a rabbit, 200 meters away on a nice still summers day and casually blowing its head off - reality is somewhat disapoin -
