They are lovely birds. Are they easy to look after? How long do they usually live for? Good luck with them.

I'm sure everyone on here knows you need to be careful running in the heat. I saw a fool yesterday (the hottest day of the year here, blistering it was) running a husky dog beside a bike at 3.30 pm.....fool! I could hardly believe my eyes!

Same here, although the ones I have seen in the pet shops are the spray type ones.

I dont think Im lazy and I own 6 Cats, I do however hate cleaning up shit that some lazy git and his Whippet leaves outside my house most mornings!! I do like how a human being will blame an animal for the downfall of the entire eco system, my word thats where we have been going wrong all these years!!! Just out of interest, how do you clean up after your six cats, do they only use a litter tray, shit in only your garden, or shit in your neighbours gardens?

Wise words from Skycat. Two pups = double trouble. Good luck!

I guess dogs just don't find the smell of urine or dung as offensive as humans do - has anyone a dog who loves to roll in shoite of all varieties when out? My bitch used to piss on her blanket every day - i gave up and threw it in the bin and left her a plastic bed to lie in. She grew out of the habit after a while and is very clean now.

Have you tried visiting a chiropractor? I did about six months ago. I had sympyoms like yours for weeks ..........tried all the tablets and rubs from the pharmacy, NHS physio etc., Voltarol from the GP, it gave me a Stomach ulcer! No use. I went to the chiropractor because i was DESPERATE I really am cynical about quacks etc but I swear it was the first thing to help. It cost, but it worked for me and I would go again in the future if I thought I could get relief.

Public parks....dog control.....leads......responsibility...........all need to be taken seriously.

That's disgusting - shit everywhere.......hope you get it sorted. It is over run with cats round here too - every other house seems to have at least one. They cause my dogs to bark at night when they are out sneaking around in the dark....bloody nuisance.

How long or how many opportunities does a dog get to prove if it 'has it'? Even a dog bred from good lines is surely wasted on someone who does not put the work in, or who does not know how to put the work in and then labels the (potentially good) dog as crap?

Poor dog, she's had a rough time. Are you planning to keep her for good now? If you rehome her again would you consider having her speyed first to stop her becoming a puppy mill for the peddlars?

Good luck with the move. I was talking to an uncle at the weekend who moved to Vancouver 40 years ago and never looked back. Nice lifestyle with good family and community values. Although they did say that the effects of the worldwide recession is touching there and causing worries about jobs etc, same as all over, really. Good luck for the future, hope it all goes well.

What age are you? Do you reckon you can face the tumbles and associated aches and pains and still be enthusiastic?

Nice to see that they were grateful for your efforts.

Hey John - is that our Tesco from Britain going over there buying lamb to import back here? Surely it would be more in their line to buy British and support the local economy and give the local farmers/processors a decent living? Or maybe that is a different rant/thread altogether, anyway....? On the subject of sheepdogs 'down under', I remember seeing on TV how the dogs - Kelpie types - run along on top of the backs of the sheep as they move through move through the pens. It must be great to have dogs helping to move thousands of sheep around like that, it's hard to imagine how they wo

Lovely! They look just like Tufty the road safety character from primary school. I've never seen a red one before - only 'rats that live in trees' as my aunt calls the grey ones! She also calls feral pigeons 'rats with wings' - she's not too fond of the wildlife!

Good luck with your plot. Have you thought about what you are going to grow in it yet? I've got potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and scallions on the go at the minute.

Fantastic pictures, thanks for sharing them. It looks like the air is so pure there. Have you any photos of what your area looks like in the summer? Do you camp in the tents with reindeer skin? Is it cosy in them?
-
How do you prepare the rabbits before running them through the mincer? Do you take out the guts and then put bones, skin and all through? When you feed it do you mix anything else with it? Looks good healhty grub that.

Well done LDR - i followed the tales of the competition throughout - it was very entertaining with reports of likeminded folks travelling the length of the country and meeting up for a bit of sport- friendly goodnatured competition. It's a pity that it ended with such unsporting behaviour from Markbrick. It sounds like he was a right embarassment to his dog. What about a write up about your dog - i'm sure those of us who don't know Bruce would love to hear his history - the jacket suits him - health to wear! -
I was going to ask what's wrong with all the other crosses! Nothing just trying to find out,and solve the here we go again thread! I don't think you will get a definite answer to that one. Have the dog that suits your needs and be happy with it, regardless of the opinons of others.
