  1. People need to stop breeding dogs.
  2. About the video - Would the 3/4 whippet count as a non-ped for the racing clubs? It looks good to see them run.
  3. Good luck with whichever you choose but it would be best to just get the one pup, not two at the same time. Give yourself and the pup a chance to learn and build a bond. Two pups at the one time can be a nightmare. Let us know what you choose.
  4. Do they need to live in an outdoor aviary?
  5. 40 is the new 20! Never felt better!
  6. Keep it in a cage. It is unlikely to wet in its cage if taken outside regulaly to emtpy. The cage can be covered with a blanket to make it feel secure while it gets used to the comings and goings in its new home. Have you had a dog or pup before? Believe me.....a cage can make the house training much less stressful. If it gets used to the cage it could live inside and is then less likely to get stole too........
  7. I wonder will there be another 5 nations show in 2011? And is any one getting their dog brushed up for next years heats ?
  8. That's very charming - a real eccentric....happy hunting in the next life
  9. I think she looks good! In the top pic she is holding her head high, which maybe has hollowed her back a bit? I wouldn't say she looks 'odd'.
  10. That dog looks as though he is really having fun there! Running off with the prize as well.........my pup does that too I think when a dog is young and his bones are still growing, it is best to keep jumping sessions short and fun so as not to injure or bore the dog. Half a dozen small jumps in one session is plenty.......once he learns the jump command he won't forget, so in time you can build up on the height and numbers he is asked to jump as he matures.
  11. Sure you can keep bees in your garden, few things though make sure when youre bees are leaving theire hive theire flightway is blocked by a fence or lattice work 6 or 7 foot high ,second thing is the bees you keep (strain)Carnolian or Buckfast are gentle bees and easy to handle or a F1 cross of these strains ,i wouldnt start with black bees as in most cases there more aggressive (hybridasation) .Good luck in you efforts . 14. Don't know if you still got the dog that was barking, but maybe 3 weeks is a bit too soon to consider it completely cured of barking? It may need a refresher in the future - i'd be holding onto one of those collars mate.
  15. Get yourself a set of walking boots.
  16. That's shocking. What did they say when they were caught? I hate the way they act like victims!
  17. Good luck with your project - it looks like you are going to be busy! I bet once you meet other folks on the site you will get lots of advice on things to grow, especially from older ones who like to see young whippersnappers like yourself taking an interest. Keep us updated with your progress.
  18. Are these wild or farmed deer (and therefore livestock)?
  19. How many jars did that fill? Have you tasted it and will you use it yourself or give it away or sell it? Well done and good luck with your bees. Only 16 jars mate, it tastes out of this world (lime honey) i will make sure myself and my family have our honey for this year and hope to pull in a couple of hundred lb next year as well as breeding some bees. if i can help you in any way just ask mate, im new to the art but have a lot of time to talk bees. i put a 7ft brush screne fence around my hives so as to insure the flight path is above human height. they shit for the first
  20. Does any one feel it would be dangerous to keep a hive in a garden in a town? Do the bees bother much or just get on with their own business if you don't go too close?
